On-tap served in a Memminger Pils glass at Wine Connection, Bangkok.
Got a deep brown color beer with generous off-white frothy head that stands with good enduring power before gradually subsiding to long lasting foamy layer on the top, the aroma is packed with a malty goodness ranging by trademark breadiness of Munich malt along with caramel, sweet, hint of chocolate yet with a mild fruitiness underneath. The taste is like what is showed on the nasal, however, a trait of roasted malt can be discovered through the palate sensation together with some bitterness from hop.
This beer yields rich and smooth mouthfeel while the carbonation is proper. So, with all said above, there is no offensive in drinkability and worth to give it a try.

Almost black, with vinous reflexes. Beige foam, decent.
The smell is dusty, of cocoa, and dark malt (but not roasted). Dried plums, maybe dried fruit. Nothing remarkable.
The taste is quite light, with cocoa and dust again, but not strong. No personality.
Medium-light body.
Light in the aftertaste too, with caramel malt (not roasted), dried fruti in the background.

Drank this in Venice...paid 55 Eurocents for it:) Clear, black-chocolate colored brew forms a thin lightly tan head atop small to medium-sized bubbles with decent retention and light lacing. Aroma is unique with predominant notes of wet, musty grains, light molasses, souring milk, and nutty malt cereal. Very enticing. Carbonation is moderate, with a surprisingly light body and pleasant mouthfeel. Taste is also unique with flavors that taste exactly as they smell...wet grains, raw sugar cane, and huskiness combine to form a pleasant body with a nicely balanced earthy bitterness. Different than any other schwarz bier that I have had. An earthy, unique, easy to drink and heartily enjoyable brew. Recommended.
