Door County cherry infused Saison was poured on cask at Casanova beer cave last week. Review from notes (this was one of my favorites from the fest).

A: Poured from a 12oz. plastic cup containing about 1/3 insanely cloudy golden straw beer and 2/3 Mississippi river dam foam. Guy said it was a little over-active in the cask. Appearance is extremely cloudy yellow, the head I received (pun intended) was appropriate and normal looking.

S: Dank farmhouse smells up front, with some wet hay and gunnysack. There is a bit of fruity sweetness hidden behind the farm.

T: Very solid traditional style here, with a very present but not overpowering funk up front. Once you get past the barnyard yeast, there are some grassy hops and some slightly sweet-tart cherry notes, although the cherry could have played a bigger role.

M: Smooth and slightly creamy. Despite excessive foaming, carbonation was average at best, which actually worked well with the appearance.

O: A very nice beer, one of (if not the) best I had all day. I really appreciated the adherence to style and the infusion of a little bit of fruit to the mix. I would gladly drink this again.
