Web description promises that "hints of chocolate and caramel malts and a touch of maple syrup fill your nose. Maple Bock enters your mouth dense, and full. With the nice taste of a solid bock, maple syrup flavor doesn't overpower the rest of the beer." Try as I might, I couldn't find maple in either the nose or the flavor. It pours with a very nice, dark color and firm head. It is a chocolatey, dense beer that comes off more like a stout than a bock. A good to very good beer, but not a great one.
The web site lists it at 6.8% abv, by the way.
Comes in a 16 oz bottle.

Poured from a bottle from a pint glass. Pours dark red with a small off white head. Smells of dark roasted grain and slight maple syrup. Tastes of dark roasted grain with slight fruit and maple notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Appearance: Pours a clear, deep brown and bronze color with a strong light tan head. SRM of 20. (4.00)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of brown bread, dark malt, caramel. (3.75)
Flavor: Strong flavors of brown bread, caramel, nuts. Lightly toasted. Smooth, clean, leans dry. (4.00)
Feel: Medium-bodied, average carbonation. Relatively dry. (4.00)
Compared to Bad Weather Ominous 1/2023: Pours lighter, milder head. Milder aromas. More nuts, brown bread, toast. Less sweet caramel and maple syrup. Dryer and cleaner.
Overall: A nice German Bock. Brown bread, nuts, lightly toasted. Drinks dryer than I expected without too much syrup sweetness which is nice. Brown, toasted, and somewhat dryer than you'd expect. (Rating: 3.94)

I got a bottle of this beer from a beer store in La Crosse, WI whilst there to bring my daughter home early from college.....thanks Covid-19! The beer poured a dark clear mahogany with off white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had subtle roast malt and maple highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with toffee malt base and slight bitter maple finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

L - Dark reddish-brown. Medium tall, persistent, tan head.
S - Roasted malts. Biscuit, toast and chocolate.
T - Dark malts. Bread, a little charred toast, and dark chocolate. And a little tartness.
F - Light.
O - Getting only the slightest hint of maple, seems a little thin and the mix of flavors isn't really my bag.

From da' chubby bottle in a snifter. This decent bock pours a nice dark
murky brown color with a very nice head of light tan foam that settles to
a thick ring, thick layer, and shows some nice sudsy lacing. Nose of chocoalte
malts, light maple, light biscuit, and toasted malts with a touch of floral hops.
Flavors follow the nose with a mild maple and toasted malt note awash in mild
chocolate malt lightly touched by char and a subtle herbal hop on the rear
with a touch of roasted nuts. Decent mouth feel; medium body, medium light
carbonation, and a light maple and chocolate finish.
Cheers

12oz bottle, served in a snifter glass. Darker brown, amber body one finger white head, short retention and no lacing. Smell is mild maple sweetness, bread, a bit of biscuit and toasted malt. Light licorice, touch of chocolate. Flavour is similar; mild maple sweetness on top of a bready base, light chocolate and a bit of anise. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, smooth and moderately sweet but not cloying. Altogether a decently put together bock with a fair bit of sweetness. Kind of nice and different compared to say, a honey bock.

It was re-released in the fall of 2017 in 6 pack 12 Oz bottles. It's a Bock Ale? Ok. Beautiful Beer dark amber or light brown. Nice light brown head, leaves some lacing. Taste is light maple, a little caramel, a touch of roasted malts. It's only slightly sweet. Fairly smooth. Easy drinking beer. It's a ok beer, if your looking for a maple bomb this is not it.
