Poured from a bottle. Dark brown color. Not much in terms of lacing.
Aroma of wheat, malt and spices.
This brew is actually difficult to classify. It's a dark wheat brew. I get that. But, I think I was really expecting something else. Something more complex. Instead it was pretty average and not all that interesting.
An average amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Light-bodied.
It's drinkable. But, I probably won't go back to it.

P: Murky super dark cola appearance with thin cappuccino head.
S: Rich caramel and toffee malt, roasted grain, sweet molasses, prunes, cocoa powder and stale coffee. Clove, cinnamon, and faint licorice. Cherry cola and bourbon fumes with big inhales.
T/M: Coffee, amaretto sweetness, bittersweet cocoa and loads of roasted grain. Really earthy and less fruity than I expected. Timid fruit sweetness in the after bite. No alcohol presence. Light-medium grainy body with an aggressively effervescent sting. Finish is dry and sweet.
O: This at first was drinking like a porter until the subtle sweet fruit came in on the tale end. A decent beer but not a huge success. I would drink this again but won't seek it out.

Black, with short-lived, quarter inch, froth foam that leaves scant lacing and a thin film on a Dogfish Head snifter.
Phenol up front and dominated by roasted grain and powdered chocolate.
The flavor follows the nose, the chocolate being more prominent, but is mostly grainy with a light, short finish. The balance is decent.
A medium body with watery texture and big, fizzy carbonation. Light alcohol.
I had this as a fresh bottle and later aged nine months with no significant effect. This is a decent beer that works well with sausage or kielbasa.

This beer pours with a muddy, near-opaque dark cola brown, with almost no head at all. The aroma is dark and fruity, with a light cherry-like sweetness and a little brown sugar overlaid on a bed of cereal grains. The flavor is likewise fruity and sweet against a nutty, dry graininess. There is also a bit of astringency and some mild but noticeable alcohol burn that distract from the initial flavor profile. It has a nice light/medium body, but the texture is a bit too drying. In the end, this beer has an interesting flavor profile, but a few negative characteristics drag down the overall impression.

Thinnish offwhite head, translucent dark brown body.
Nose has heavy chocolatey malt. Really the sort of malt that just makes you think of malt. Like malt balls.
Body is malty, not overly rich, dryish and really, really nice. Kinda of a German dunkel. None of the heaviness or sweetness I associate with wheat, but this is really well balanced and incredibly drinkable.
Smooth, kinda coarse and airy. Lightish, I guess.

A- this beer had a huge head to it. Kind of like when you get a bad beer. Thick foam set on top of a dark brown beer with rusty orange highlights.
S- Wheat and dark fruit. Yeasty and malty. there's some faint smells of vanilla licorice as well.
T- I get some toasted barley and wheat. Some hints of dark fruits and vanilla.
M- Very chalky and dries out the mouth.
O- Not to overly impressed with this one. Didn't seem to have alot that just jumped out at me. So So.

Black with dark brown highlights. Quick head and very little foam.
Dry chalky yeast aroma with roasted barley and wheat malts keeping the aroma bready.
Chalky palates and flavor throughout the whole beer. Roasty and toasty malts with some dry powdered fruit flavors as well. Palate is pretty thin overall. Pretty easy to drink, but not full on flavor.

Pours a dark brown w/ reddish highlights when held to the light. This beer has a massive two and a half finger chocolate colored head, which lasts for a while. The nose is chocolate, dark fruit, roasted malt, and some phenol smells. The taste is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit. Very malty and chewy brew. Feel is medium full, with a definite chewy vibe to it. Big, full aftertaste. Overall, a nice beer, and an interesting style.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Pours pitch black with a one finger tan head. Retention isn't very good and neither is lacing.
Aroms is of roasted malt and cocoa. Some coffee in there as well.
Taste is quite roasty up front with coffee and chocolate flavors. Some dark fruit is slightly apparent towards the finish. Fairly mild bitterness with no hop flavor present. Mouthfeel is slick and smooth. Medium bodied.
Overall a pretty good beer. Drinks more like a porter than a wheat beer but enjoyable on a cold night.
