Notes:
Fish Paralyzer is a Belgian-style pale ale that is moderately hopped with Tradition and Saaz. The grain bill calls for a combination of specialty malt to produce its sweetness and copper color. The Belgian Ale yeast used provides a strong Belgian essence to phenolic and spicy flavors and aromas.

Poured from a growler purchased at Green's near Harbison in Columbia, SC. Updated the next day from a clean pallet.
A: Pale Ale? Clear, reddish copper/amber color with a nice light tan head. Moderate lacing.
S: Nice Belgian yeast smells with a slightly sweet malt scent(cherries), and mild spices.
T&M: Light to medium bodied Belgian ale. Not quite as tasty as the smell, but very good. Mild fruits and spice flavors. Finishes with a bitter hop and mildly malty sweet flavor or dark cherries or wild dark fruits.
Not pale!(but appearance is nice, I still give it a 4/5, but should be 2 based on a pale?) Has the look of a Dubbel, but the taste of a pale or close to a Tripel. Overall, very decent and worth a try, especially if you enjoy Belgian style beers. I would say this is similar to "Three Philosophers" but even better, especially for the price!

Pours hazy dark orange with particle on the last pour. There is some east coast hop presence but this is a fairly malty pale. There is a cramyness from the yeast that gives this beer a good feel and size. It is quite refreshing and rather tasty. I would like to see thins more often in my area.

Poured chilled in ale glass at Rollingside tavern.
A: dark copper, cloudy; not much carbonation; lacing is pitiful
S: sweet, aromatic
T: more grainy than malty; not much of the Belgian that's advertised; very bitter; tasty and sweet, but not highly complex
Really quite a nice beer, but not representative of the genre.

We pop the top and pour a deep rusty copper brew. The coloring is nice and dark, and helps accentuate the stark white one finger tall head. This shows poor retention, leaving little lacing, but nice bubbly swirls across the top of the drink. There is a thick haze throughout, with flecks of sediment suspended around the glass. Carbonation appears medium. The nose shows huge clove and coriander sitting on a bed of thick pale malts, and dirty, muddy Belgian grain. Dry minerals, overripe vegetable skins, funk, barnyard grass, and moldy brie cheese make the nose extraordinarily complex. Fusel booze seeps out with some banana esters on the back, but in the end, with warmth, the nose surprisingly resembles that of Chimay Grande Réserve (blue). Our first impression upon sipping is that this guy is very boozy, with a huge clove profile. As we sip, black pepper, nutmeg, and massive phenolic clove mix with caramel and pale Belgian malts. This hits like a freight train, with extra punch to the already bitter and boozy bite. The peak sweetens with caramel malts, and a lighter metallic bite. A sweet barley flavoring persists, bringing us the finish of honey, soft yeast, overripe banana esters, and a bittering balance of more grain. The aftertaste breathes of tomato juice, ginger, bittering grain, sour lemon rind, and bitter medicinal phenols. The body is medium to full, and the carbonation is medium. There is soft slurp and cream to each sip, but little finish pop. The mouth is cooled and wet, with a fine astringent coat left all around. The abv is appropriate, and the beer drinks easily.
Overall, what we enjoyed most about this brew was the insane aroma. Those spicy inclusions made the first few sniffs thoroughly exciting. The flavoring was equally as complex. It was, however, not balanced that well. The flavors become muddy as it seemed like they were trying to do just a little too much. The layers of Belgian malts, with sweetness and the yeast were nice, giving a more genuine feel to this beer, and to the style.
