South Dakota isn't a great state for beer, as both breweries and distribution are sorely lacking. My ratings for selection and quality take this into account. With that said: This is the best beer store in Sioux Falls and likely the entire state. The staff is knowledgeable and regularly help my dad, who is new to craft beer, find beer that fits his tastes. They recently added growler fills (32oz and 64oz) and even had some Surly on tap. Prices are competitive with the other craft beer stores in town. Taylor's/Good Spirits is my go to beer store in Sioux Falls and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for craft beer in South Dakota.

Heard about this place on beeradvocate before I left home. From small town so pickings tend to be extremely slim. Much to my surprise this business was full of a wide variety of beers as well as wine and liquor. (Also available were a large amount home-brewing kits and tools.) Staff was extremely helpful. I am new to the craft beer world so was a huge selling point for me. Will definitely be returning. (Which is saying something because this is an hour and a half drive one way.) Glad to find a new place to get hard to find craft beers.

It's basically a gas station market. As you walk in, stay straight from the door and you'll happen upon three racks of beer. Some decent selections here but nothing that would blow your mind.

I was able to grab a Goose Christmas from 2009 and a Brau Brothers Barrel Aged Quad, which is special to me only because I don't live in the Midwest. That was it for me and this was after 15 minutes of searching.

Again, from what I gathered talking to a few people it seems South Dakota may be a little barren in terms of what stores can usually offer so knowing that this would be a better place to stop. However, compared to other states it's firmly middle of the road.

I was in town briefly and looking for local beers. Guided by Beer Advocate I went to this place and found a good selection -- not actually much from South Dakota, but smaller breweries from Wisconsin and Minnesota. A very good selection of craft beers from other areas too and what appeared to be a good variety of homebrew supplies. I appreciated the fact that I could buy singles, so I could try a variety of brands. I wish I had more room in my suitcase. One of the unappreciated detrimental effects of terrorism is the elimination of beer transportation in carry-on luggage.

Clearly the best South Dakota has to offer in beer. If it is sold in our state, they sell it. Brewers appreciate the section of the store dedicated to them, and out of towners like me are pleased that, where appropriate, they have most of their offerings both room temp and refrigerated. Reasonable pricing too. And as a large seller they must carry some pull with distributors, as I am confident that they have had something to do with the selection improvements in our state. So they think about customers in more ways than one.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. And my bride appreciates the extensive wine offerings as well. Something for everyone. Just a great store.

Located in a gas station of all places. They have a liquor store and homebrew supplies in the building as well. Your one stop shop! The beer is all gathered toward the center of the store and a third are probably in coolers. A nice singles selection. If SD gets any particular beer, this place will certainly be able to get their hands on it. Very nice selection here. Very high quality of belgians that you likely will not find anywhere else in the city. About four different Cantillons on the shelf along with other top notch Belgians. Service is fine, but not great. A nice glassware selection too, but it will cost you. The one beef with this place, is there pricing. It is easily the most expensive place in town. It was higher than the three other stores I visited on every beer I was looking at. I was going to grab a Boulevard Goblet until I saw the $9 sticker price! Found it at another store for $1.99. Brewery labeled pints were marked for $5. Their 750's were a dollar or more than at other stores. Basically, the store is nice, they have the highest quality beers in town with a great selection, but it will cost you more than other stores. If visiting here, it's worth shopping around.

Great beer selection. Found odells friek, cantillon, boulevard rye on rye. Prices reasonable for difficult to find beers. Great selection of international beers such as mikkeler, nogne, dieu du ciel and cantillon. Justin knows his beers and has a good awareness of freshness issues. Definitely worth the stop if you are driving through on I 229.

There were many small bottles available to buy singly. Home brew supplies are available too. I bought several beers from lucky bucket, summit and other regional brewers not available in Kansas city.

I think Taylor's Pantry has a great selection of beer and it also has a great selection of home brewing supplies. the atmosphere is a very over filled convenience store that is very cramped for space. If you don't like tight spaces i would stay away form this place. The problem with a store like this in our area is that going through inventory can be difficult, so this store has a large inventory that is very much past expiration. I understand some big and maltier beers are OK with age but there are small beers that are from 2007 and 2008 and it is 2011. I think this place has a great selection but there are other places that have decent beer selections without the claustrophobia and stale snowflaked beers

Great location on the corner of 41st and Minnesota, always easy to stop by. Huge selection of craft beer, honestly, if it's distributed in South Dakota they carry it. One of the only places in Sioux Falls where I've found Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen. Most 6 packs and many larger format bottles are kept cold. Most 12 oz offerings are also available as singles. Quite a decent selection of branded glassware for those looking for the right glass for their beer. Large homebrew supply section as well.

GoodSpirits is my go to beer store in Sioux Falls. Besides their impressive selection of packages, they have the best single bottle selection in town. If a beer is available in South Dakota, they have it! And, with their homebrew supplies and convenient hours, they are the top notch one stop shop for all things beer in Sioux Falls. They are a must stop for anyone in or traveling through Sioux Falls!

If you have any questions about anything, or need help, ask for Justin - the beer man - he knows his products inside and out! Plus the rest of the staff seems to know their stuff too!
