Finally, decided to come to the Bottleworks after several visits to the Tap Room. The atmosphere is very similar to Tap Room. Nice wood interior with views of tanks and numerous boards listing the beers on tap. The beers are very good and very fresh. Service is pretty good. The selection is nice most of it is their bottles with a couple exceptions. The Tap Room carries more rarities or small batch beers. The food is good. Farmer's platter is very tasty and the bison burger is pretty tasty, too. Food was a little pricey and the pints were about 50 cents more than I'd like. It's worth a stop especially since they have so much to go beer available.

The food was great, , the service was great, the beer was great My wife who would only have a sip of any beer before the tour now loves stouts and porters. We came for lunch and stayed for the tasting. The only minor drawback was that the same glass was used for all 4 of the tastings. However, the price of the tasting was also...great! (free) This is a "must stop" if you are in the Saint Louis area.

Schlaflys is a cool place with a lot of beers. They have something to cover pretty much every type. I grabbed the sampler before going on the tour. The Hefeweizen was probably my favorite. I was told that they have bluegrass bands play on the patio at night on the weekend but didn't stay for that because we were rushed to get to a Cardinals game.

Place has a unique ambiance situated in an old supermarket. There is a large patio area to enjoy when the weather is nice along with an indoor dining area. The bar is of good size and is equipped with a number of taps. They serve a large number of the regular year round beers and a number of their seasonal or special offerings. I like that as there is always something new to try on every visit. the bartenders are friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers the serve. If interested they do provide tours of the brewery. There is also a gift shop to purchase some logo gear and glasses or build a six-pack to take home. Place is worth checking out.

Stopped by here on Valentines day. Well planned layout here with the bar/taproom seperate from the restaurant area. They have a second large taproom available for groups and rental. The gift shop area has a wide selection of clothing, glasses and misc. Brewery logo items along with bottles to go. The beer is average with a decent selection of styles. Now for the food....Hands down the best pizza crust you will ever have. They use beer in the dough instead of water. They also baste the dough with house made garlic infused olive oil. Simply the best thin crust pizza I have had. I was able to pick up some large bottles of their BBA Imperial stout. Nice place to stop for food and beer when in the area.

Finally made it to the bottleworks to check it out. Usually I go to the taproom, but this one is worth checking out too.
i stopped in for lunch on a sunday and they had quite a few people in there already. It's a really nice building with a great patio and lots of room inside and out for people to hang, drink, eat and socialize.
The food was good, although I've only had one example of it to choose from. The menu was nice and the prices ranged from quite reasonable to fairly pricey entrees, but for the most part it wasn't unreasonable at all. I had the buffalo burger and quite liked it. The beer was great, I had an oatmeal stout and it was so fresh and delicious! There's a nice store with lots of souvenirs, tee shirts, hats, koozies, etc. There's also a large selection of beer to go, and the prices for that are quite reasonable. I got one of the whole foods rye bock 750mL bottles for less than ten bucks, and it was fantastic.
The selection I'm rating as good, even though there really aren't that many choices. However, there's takeout and lots of stuff on tap, and it's all great Schlafly stuff.
I haven't taken the tour yet, but it's free, and I will next time.
There is an employee there who has answered lots of specific questions via email for me, thanks Steve.
I'd like to try this place on a festival or event night. It's a pretty cool place.
ETA: wear closed toed shoes if you want to take the brewery tour, they are required.

I went to Schlafly Bottleworks for a tour and lunch this past weekend and I was impressed.
The service was good and the food was also good. I recommend trying the beer cheese soup and the black bean burger.
The beer selection was good. My friend and I tried a sampler of 6 beers including 5 of their regular beers and a seasonal which was a pumpkin ale. We also were given 4 5 ounce samples at the end of our tour of the brewery. My favorite beer was the dry hopped APA.
The tour was great and also free. If you go here for a tour, as a side note, you have to wear closed-toed shoes as a safety rule. Our tour guide Alex was very knowledgable and provided us with a great tour of the facility. You can get bottles of Schlafly beers to go at the store.
Overall, I really enjoyed by visit to this place and would recommend it as a place to go when in St. Louis.
