16 oz can poured into Cheers drinking mug. Served pretty cold...
A) Nice looking golden brew. A very inviting 2 fingers of dense white foam reach the top of the mug. Nice retention, slowly settling to a dusting. Good lacing... Looks pretty darn good.
S) Well looks can be deceiving, and after all this is Minhas we're dealing with here. The aroma is soggy grains, and old green grapes left in a bowl on your kitchen counter. There is a hint of malt. Not impressive...
T) Sweeter than I was expecting, with an unpleasant buttery flavor. The grape mentioned in the aroma comes through again. Light malt and grain flavor. This has a poor metallic aftertaste. Finish is a little dry.
M) The mouthfeel is pretty much what you would expect from an American Adjunct Lager. This has a light body, and is well carbonated. I scored it a notch lower, because of the poor clinging aftertaste.
O) It seems every time I review a beer brewed by Minhas, I am strongly recommending it be avoided, and yet here I am again. I guess the bottom line is, do as I say, not as I do. In the end, the only positive about this beer was the appearance. The rest is really pretty bad. Sorry, I cannot recommend this beer.

Poured from a chilled can into a standard pint glass at a local restaurant and sat for a few minutes to reach 45º or so.
A=A rather rich, but bright, gold color, with a rich 4 finger head...rather inviting; more inviting than anticipated.
S=Not much at first...finally got a whiff of sweetness and pine.
T=A honey like sweetness--sort of a mix between a honey weiss and cream ale--comes to mind. Almost no hops; more corn than barley, I imagine. If you like sweeter, cream ale styles, this will appeal to you more than comparable BMC's--one worth trying, but not one to go out of your way for.
M=Ample body, with modest carbonation. At 16 oz. per can, one can probably drink the four pack in one sitting, but not a session beer that one could drink all afternoon, due to heaviness and sweetness.
0=As American Adjunct Lagers go, this one is better than most (certainly, much better than the Pabst I had later)--okay to buy if you only have a choice of macros, but I'd probably try a Point or Hamm's over this.

Another beer provided by the creator of the canquest, woodychandler. And a Minhas product? Hell yeah. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of grains, a touch of malts. Taste is a little odd, metallic, plastics, some grains, on par for this brewer. Feels light in the mouth and overall is a slightly below average beer.

Ah, The CANQuest (TM) once again comes up against one of its arch-nemeses, Minhas. The mere mention of the name "Minhas" sends my liver into flutter mode and the Crack causes my neighbors to take shelter form the advancing Cybermen. Minhas is an inhuman beer factory and their beer is produced with the sole intent of turning us all into inhuman, cold, calculating, metallic creatures with no minds of our own. I know because I have been assimilated and returned numerous times on The CANQuest (TM) with its own version of the Law of Unintended [CAN]sequences.
From the CAN: "Celebrate the Wisconsin Lifestyle". Illustrated with fish, cheese, brats, bowling, cows, farmers and their year of admittance (1848), it is brilliant! Best CAN on the lot! A keeper.
The Crack & Glug was nice until I began to hear the tramp of heavy boots/feet beyond the backyard fence. My neighbors are scattering for shelter as I type. I had a brief finger of bone-white foam that lasted about as long as my humanity will. Color was a light, lemon-yellow with NE-quality clarity and loads of carbonation. Greg Koch has no sympathy for me when I drink these types of beers. Nose had an odd grape-y mustiness. Minhas! Mouthfeel was medium but the taste was oddly vinous, although not as pronounced as in some of their other beers. The advance seemed to slow, if not actually stop. Finish was still mildly vinous, but it was not as noxious as some of their other offerings. I heard retreat sounded and my neighbors began to reappear. This will be damning with not faint praise, but instead, CANparative praise. This was probably the best Minhas beer that I have CANsumed to date, but that is not saying a whole lot. I would recommend it for the novelty of the CAN more than anything. On Wisconsin!

16 oz can poured into a pilsner glass.
1317402 on bottom of can, no info. (4.7% ABV)
A - Sconnie Beer pours a brilliantly clear golden wheat color with a lofty white head. The densely packed foam has moderate retention and drapes little bits of lace on the glass.
S - Sconnie beer, an "American Lager" smells the part with a grainy pale malt aroma and little else going on. A "drive-by" whiff reveals light hopping for minimal balance but a deeper whiff unveils an unpleasant creamed corn and faint metallic note.
T - Grainy pale malt and a touch of pilsner sweetness are followed by a corn adjunct flavor and pinch of floral hop notes. It's only on the swallow after smacking you're lips that a touch of that unpleasant metallic flavor comes out.
M - Effervescent carbonation fits the style, prickling the throat as it descends, lightly drying out the tongue and finishing with a crisp bite. Again, it's decent until the very finish where it's metallic.
O - Here comes Minhas, once again. Make no mistake, Sconnie Beer is great marketing, unfortunately the beer just doesn't follow through. A plain adjunct lager with little character does fit the "style" and if it weren't for the metallic finish, it wouldn't be awful, it's just moderately unappealing. Badger fans who normally drink BMC will adore this beer, though.
