Poured from a twelve ounce bottle into a pint glass.
Pours pale golden colored with fizzy & fast white foam. Just some smidges remain. Classic smell, though on the lighter side. More banana, less spice. Wheat/tart too. Taste though, is a little mixed up - kind of feels thrown together. The bite is off. Not quite right.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle.
A- Cloudy, but not enough to truly represent the style. A thin foam head dissolves to a short, white cap floating on an inviting gold liquid
S- Very powerful aromas of banana and cloves. Very little malt presence and no hop presence in the aroma. This beer certainly smells like a hefeweizen.
T- Initial taste reminds me of a macro-brewed hefeweizen. The initial taste is OK, but it evolves into a watery aftertaste. Reminds me of something the big brewers would make.
M- Not much mouthfeel atr all; very watery.
O- OK, but just. It's a passable representation of the style; a nice, affordable choice for some summertime backward quaffing, but I've had better...

Appearance - Medium yellow and cloudy. Tall foamy white head with good retention.
Smell - Light to medium wheat and lemony sourness. Clove and/or banana not prominent.
Taste - Light bready wheat and strong citrus (lemon) sourness. Lacks banana and clove flavors. One note.
Mouthfeel - Medium light. Crisp.
Overall - This is pretty light and refreshing. Might be nice on a hot summer day. I don't think, however, that this beer will satisfy most looking for a hefeweizen.

Poured into wine goblet during Super Bowl.
A: slightly hazy golden straw, looks too filtered for style and not enough body.
S: Lots of grain and a bit of white bread, yeast.
T: Grain and white bread something trying to be a Belgian yeast, a slight dry tartness in the finish. Just a bit of spice.
M: Below average, lacking crispness and prickly carbonation, smooth finish I expect with the style.
O: Tastes little an old heff made with cheap ingredients

Reviewed from session notes.
Pours out a darker straw color, with another lazy foam collar for a head, aroma is way too faint but mostly made up of yeasty goodness on top of a subdued banana note, but the flavor isn't quite the same thing as promised by the smell. Flavor is instead more like a weaker lemon wheat profile as one would expect from a witbier, not a hefe, also pushed somewhat too far into sweetness levels for my personal taste. So what I'm trying to say is that I wish the yeastiness of the aroma properly translated through into the flavor and that it was about 15% drier in profile. Texture is really nice, however, medium thick and well carbonated for the weight of the body.
This one isn't bad, but not great either.

Part III of my Berghoff tasting. Poured from bottle into hefe glass.
A: Pours a hazy amber, dark gold with a 1 finger foamy white head that sticks around and laces. Looks like a legit hefe.
S: Clean smelling. Wheat, citrus, and spice aromas prevail.
T: A sweet taste, almost juicy. The wheat and spice can be tasted. An odd bubblegum taste comes through in the middle and sticks around to the aftertaste. A fruity bubblegum. Odd, but not offensive, actually a little interesting.
M: Good carbonation and mouth coating. The body is less creamy than expected.
O: After having two abysmal beers from Minhas I was worried, to my surprise this one was actually decent. When comparing these to German Hefes there isn't much of a match, but a decent beer from Minhas.

A- Yellow color off white head
S- Very strong banana with little bit of clove. No hops present in the smell or malts for that matter.
T- It's banana in a bottle. Let's just leave it at that.
M- Thin bodied and somewhat creamy.
D- Good hefe for the summer, but the banana is too much for the style, drinkable if you want a banana beer though.

12oz. bottle poured into an imperial pint. No bottled date. Thanks to BeerFMAndy for the bottle.
(A)- Pours a clear straw yellow color that produced no head at all even after a vigorous pour.
(S)- Lots of ripe banana with a bit of spice & lemon.
(T)- Very thin flavors of biscuit-like banana & lemon.
(M)- Good carbonation level & balance, but has a very thin body that is rather watery.
(D)- A pretty basic hefeweiss that could be much more than what it is. Crisp and refereshing for a summer's day, but not a whole lot of flavor. Sessionable

Pours a golden yellow color, with very little head. A slight haze to the beer. Not quite what I like to see out of a hefe, was expecting a large head and cloudiness that I could barely see through, this is not the case.
Aroma is enticing, great yeast profile evident with aromas of tropical fruits. Now I think this beer has some promise.
Unfortunately on first taste the tropical fruit flavors are undermined by a sweet lemony flavor. Not a good flavor profile, cloyingly sweet. It has a banana and clove flavor that I typically enjoy, but somehow this just doesn't work.
Good mouthfeel, however drinkability goes down with the cloying sweetness and a wierd aftertaste.
Not going to get this one again.

12 oz bottle poured into a weiss glass. No date or info.
A - The dull, hazy yellow straw color is filled with bubbles rising up but the white head drops like flies in winter. Low retention and no lacing.
S - The nose displays the classic hefe aromas of yeast and banana with bubblegum as well as a wheaty background but does so with little panache. It's got the right components, just shows little complexities.
T - The flavor also exhibits the classic here notes but does so even more poorly than the nose. The mouth is riddled with grainy wheat that's kind of wet in flavor - not very good and muted banana, yeast, and bubblegum. It's not bad, but it's a poor example of what a hefe could be. Citrusy finish too.
M - Light-bodied and crisp with a moderately dry finish and a really low hint at spiciness that dances on the tongue.
D - While it's a bad hefe example it doesn't rule out it's drinakbility. I'd still take one on a hot summer day but definitely would never seek it out again. Just plain and lacking complexity for a hefe.
