11.16oz brown bottle ... why not the standard 12oz bottle? No freshness date.
Hazed straw yellow color, hazed due to the yeast in the bottle. Decent lacing with credit due to the very active carbonation. Aromas of white chocolate, lemon zest and a cracker graininess. Very crisp, deep enough which adds a refreshing character upfront. Vague lemon oil, wild flower and clean graininess are the stronger characteristics. Hops are modest with a small bitterness. A little spicy middle to end with more lemon zest flavor. Semi-dry finish with a nearly clean after taste.
Not sure what to make of this one, very non-conventional for the style. Simply tastes like a spicy crisp summer seasonal blonde ale with lemon flavor. Did they really mean to put "Farmhouse Ale" on the label.

Purchased as part of a mix six...split the bottle with my sister-in-law:
A=Medium to light golden, with a bit of murkiness and perhaps a slight greenish tint. Head was white and not very dominant.
S=I didn't notice much...perhaps a cut grass smell.
T=Citrus and very crisp...rather sweet and creamy as well. Reminded me a bit of Blue Moon's Belgian White.
M=Moderate carbonation, perhaps a bit slippery, but overall very drinkable.
O=One of Minhas' better offerings...I would definitely drink again, but probably not buy as it is not quite as good as others out there.

Appearance: Pale golden yellow with a very light haze. The head is well not to be seen after forming for a few seconds.
Aroma: Grainy, buttery, corn husk, light breadiness, lemon zest in the tail end.
Taste: Faint pear, buttery, very grainy, corn, brediness not too much in the citrus end and a slight bit of sweetness from the malts. The mouthfeel is very smooth but on the watery side.
Notes: Not very tasty quite a ways away from being a saison. Cheers.

I don't know where this came from, since I don't think Minhas even distributes to the state much less Toledo; here it is regardless, so why not?
It looks unfiltered, with a deep haze set into a pale yellow brew. Busy carbonation keeps up a head that struggles and would be lost without it, and spotting is left somewhat weakly but amply enough here and there.
This beer is a bit weak, lacking depth as though the interpretation of a light style is to make it weaker. There's not much to it besides a lame base of pale malts, some dusty earth and a bit of lemon. I can't say the sweetness isn't interesting. Unfortunately, there's nothing either Belgian or Farmhouse about this beer.
Interestingly, for such a weak beer and lacking character, the feel almost reaches what it ought to be. Crispness is a little too hard as the carbonation required to keep anything going bites too hard, but there's a smoothness under it that makes it flow well besides that.

This poured out as a slightly hazy looking yellow color with a quick fading white head on top. The smell of the beer gives off some slight aromas of fresh grains and some malt sweetness. The taste of the beer is very one dimensional, it's grainy upfront and then settles into a pure wheat malt finish... no bitterness at all, no spice notes or funk, nothing that symbolizes a "Farmhouse Ale". The mouthfeel is thin and doesn't give off any forms of complexity. Overall this really shouldn't be called a Farmhouse Ale, I understand why they call it that but it's not actually that at all. This should be considered more of just a basic wheat beer instead.

The beer poured a hazy light gold and did not produce much head.
The little head there was disappeared imidiately. No lacing.
No distinct smell, maybe some malt.
Taste is very plain. Mostly malt, some lemon flavor, yet I cannot make out any hop character.
Not much more to this poor brew.

I picked up 3 varieties of Minhas beers last week so I will be having a Minhas morning today to kick off my weekend. Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, a bit musty, some medicinal odor. Taste is yuck, an off metallic taste, some cough syrup, maybe a touch of plastic. WTF? Feels light in the mouth and overall is the worst beer of this style that I have ever had.

An odd 11.16 oz. twist off bottle poured into a wine glass. Pours golden with a light haze. A thin cap hits the hills in about 20 seconds.
Nose of neutral cereal with a hint of sweet yeast note. Not much aroma and no notable hop presence. Yeast notes are quite subtle as well.
Flavor again of pale malts with a bit of lemon oil though the lemon seems to be as much additive as hop driven.
Feel is a bit flat as the carbonation is rather light to begin with, fizzing out of the liquid too quickly.
Overall a bust with minimal yeast and farmhouse notes. Not really too far from Simpler Times though a bit drier on the finish. Improves just a touch with some warming as for yeast presence.
