12 ouncer w/o freshness indication. Pours very light straw, with a feeble white head, minor lacing noted. Faint nose of corn/rice. This is not gonna be pretty. Here goes...taste is watery, adjuncts, nasty in general. Lawn mower beer, at best. Something about this stuff tells me 2 or 3 would lead to a nasty headache. Pass this macro, water waster by.

Blah... not a special beer, and doesn't really hold a candle to it's full flavor brother. Light golden color with a short lived head. Medium low carbonation. Scents of corn and hops were present, but very light. Flavor was on the stale watery side for my liking, but none the less went down smooth, and would be a do-able session beer. Not much of an aftertaste, but notes of alcohol and hops were slightly noted. Worth a try, but nothing great.

12oz. bottle: This beer pours a pale yellow color, with a bit of a white fizzy head. Well, it doesn’t smell bad, it just doesn’t smell like much at all. I get a weak nose of some sweet malts and that macro adjuct aroma. The taste isn’t offensive, just watered down. Typical thin light beer, with a hint more flavor than its American counterparts.

Clear very light gold color, like many a light american lager. Almost no head. Smell is slightly grassy with malt, but does have som adjunct tones. Taste is relatively bland, just light malt, and no noticable hops. No better or worse than many american light lagers, just another choice.

Presentation: 12 oz long neck bottle - double label with random "witty" sayings on the back. Bottle brags about being North America's oldest brewery.

Appearance: Pours a pale yellow color - completely clear. Decent white head that quickly fades.

Smell: Fresh crisp smell of an adjunct lager. Very very slight hop smell.

Taste: Again - crisp, fresh taste. Very light bodied, clean taste. No aftertaste whatsoever.

Overall impression: Decent beer for what it is. I'm not a fan of light beers - but this seems to be better than a lot of the BMC offerings.

Poures a lite golden color with a 1 figer head after a fairly agressive pour. OK lace. Not much smell here - which is average for a "lite" beer. Very faint malt smells with even fainter hop smells. Picking up some corn and rice smells as well. Taste is OK for a "lite". Some subtle sweet malt with a bit of hops. Watery, but that is pretty much what I expected. Is better than other more popular "lites" (AB), and worse than others (Sam Adams). An average lite beer.

--Average brown bottle 331 ml, no freshness date.
--Poured a nice head that quickly left.
--Colour is what you would expect from a light beer, kind of a clear golden color.
--smell was also what you would expect, not much there.

Overall this is one of the better light beers I have tasted. It didn't seem to lose much by going light. You can still tell that it is mass produced, but one I would recommend to a light beer drinker.
Thx

The beer pours a very pale gold color with a thick frothy white head that quickly fades to lacing. The aroma is average. It is crisp, clean, and refreshing with a dry lager yeast scent. There is also the aroma of some pale malts and brewing adjuncts. The taste is above average. It has a smooth taste with a clean, yet dry finish. It has no malt complexity at all, but is low in carbs. The mouthfeel is above average. It is a low bodied beer with good carbonation. This beer drinks well. It's a little better than most light beers I've had.

Just imagine Canadian watered down. Terrible. This crystal clear yellow beer came to me with a nice manufactured head. It was gone in seconds. The smell was of corn and there wasn't much of that. There was a buttery taste. I don't know much, but I know that this is not a good thing.I also had a hint of grains to finish it off. A bitter aftertaste.

Wow...a light beer with some actual taste. In the world of light beers, this one stands out, albeit slightly. Pours out to a light, golden color in the glass with some lively carbonation going on. Not much aroma-wise, with a hint of cooked veggies coming through. The taste is decent, bordering on good. There is a bit of hop bit on the swallow, which actually shocked me a bit. As good as Sam Adams Light and one of the better, if not best (if there is such a thing), interpretations of a light beer

For a light this is very nice...for a light.
Colour is a weak, thin, golden hue. Head was one finger when arrived and quickly disapated and carbonation was light.
The nose was minor and thin as the colour.
But, the taste for a light was acceptable, evenly balanced, lite(ly) hopped and finished better than anticapated to the malts.....again, lightly.

This is a pretty decent light beer from Molson. It pours a nice, light golden colour with a small white head. The aromas are malty and bready with a kiss of hops. The taste is mildly malty, very light and not hoppy at all. The mouthfeel is thin, but not too watery and the drinkability is good as well.

A solid light beer, almost as good as yuengling traditional lager light...

The appearance, smell, and taste of this light beer, are definately more subdued in the canned version, as compared to the bottled version.

(Repost since my original review strangely disappeared)

I find most light beers to be unspectacular (or some, just downright nasty). Molson Canadian Light surprised me in that for the most part it remained true to the regular version. Sure regular Molson Canadian isn't a very spectacular beer in itself, but I just found it surprising that a beer's light counterpart actually has some taste.

Molson Canadian Light poured a bright straw color with a golden hue. A decent foamy white head formed and lasted about a minute. The smell is of light grains with a slightly sweet character to them. The mouthfeel was watery and fizzy like any light beer. The initial taste struck me as sweet, as the grain flavors made their way through. Although not awful, corn does seem to be a primary flavor in this brew. The usual light beer wateriness is here, but I kept on thinking that this stuff tastes alot like the original. One thing that sets them apart is that I detected almost no hops here whatsoever. No bitterness or dryness to be found. The aftertaste was light, with some lingering husk flavors and grainy/corny sweetness. Also there is no alcoholic warmth in the end to finish this one off.

This had less hop flavor, more wateriness, and more husk flavors and sweetness than the regular version, but once you get past that the two are very closely related. Not too bad for a light beer, although I certainly do not plan to drink this regularly. Definitely easy to drink, and as clean as clean gets.

Presentation: 11.5 oz brown twist off bottle, no freshness date to be found. 11.5 oz bottle, so for every case you buy that is about one 12 ounce bottle of beer missing.

Appearance: Perfect clarity with a very pale straw hue, one finger of foamy head struggles to stick to the glass.

Smell: Smells like a fresh light beer, very little hop and malt yet extremely clean.

Taste: Smooth with a plush crispness in the back, very light in the body department. Dry dextrin, cereal grain and malt husk. Bone dry palate and very very clean. Some watered down hop bitterness and flavour slides in middle to end. Virtually no taste in the finish.

Notes: All I would want in a light beer if I like the style. It holds a touch more flavour than most light beers and does not stray into any cooked veggie or odd corn aromas or flavours. If you like light beer this one might be for you.

I really do not care for this beer or any molson beer, it gives me really bad gas. Light color and body with no hops or malt just a bunch of corn and rice. My mother in law comes and she brings the crap, so i have to drink it and my wife puts up with the gas.

i drank a few which says a lot for a light beer. this had a little more flavor than other lights, but it still lacked. i would take it over bud coors miller any day, but i don't think i will take it at all. so far no light beers have really done it for me except for sam adams. lights are just not fantastic

I do believe, and correct me if I am wrong, that this is the beer that was replaced by Canadian Light. I have now had both, and they are eerily similar. However, I wont compare, I will just review this one, which I am drinking now.

Golden in color, and the lace actually is sticking all the way down the glass. Very smooth, not much flavor at all, and a bit watery. Therefore it's extremely easy to drink. I have had a few already and am feeling nothing. Definitely a better light than the BudMillerCoors light offerings. Oh well...I think its defunct anyway, but hey, cheers!
