Served at Quench, in Waterbury, Conn.

A: Poured a standard macro color; very pale yellow with soda-like carbonation. The foamy head puffed up and quieted down in a hurry, leaving very minute lace. Nothing exciting.

S: Grainy, corny malts, not lacking that trademark skunked import aroma. Not as bad as a corona or Heineken, but definitely there.

T: Taste is sweet, sticky corn and grain, with a metallic squink in the aftertaste. I must say, a bit better than the average macro, which will give it points for the style, but not a great beer taste by any stretch.

M: Fairly thin, though the carbonation stays lively, that is until near the swill. This thing was a tough sell when it warmed a bit, almost had to leave a sip or two.

D: The slightly higher ABV will give some macro thrill-seeker duped into buying Canadian as an "import" might be able to throw several down. I, on the other hand, would give this one or two if handed to me and call it quits.

Not the best offering by Molson, but not that bad for a macro. If you want more ABV from these guys, pick up a Molson XXX, or if it's more tolerable flavor you're after, check out the Molson Canadian. Otherwise, keep moving in the beer aisle.

Poured from the can into a pint glass.

A - Clear amber-gold color with a finger-and-a-half head. Leaves lacing, but it disappears. Fizzy head.

S - Corn malt, grassiness, sugar, alcohol.

T - Corn malt, grass, sugar, alcohol, can metal.

M - Crisp but icy (no pun intended), it almost seems like it would crunch a bit if you could chew it, like slush. Kinda bitter aftertaste.

O - Like pretty much every "ice" beer, it just can't stand up to the regular version it sprang from. The colder the better, to match the ice in the game you're watching that inspired you to buy it.
