Light gold color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is grassy, grainy and sweet. A lighter bodied pilsner. Malts are fruity and fairly sweet. Hops are mild and not very spicy. Well balanced. There is a slight metallic taste to it and it way too sweet. But it is light and refreshing and non skunky. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is very sweet.

Slight brown hue to this golden brew. White head tops the beer, but fades quickly.
Aroma is dominated by an off, chemical type scent. Earthy, slightly pungent hops are also there.

Taste is light and fairly crisp. Husky, grainy malt balanced by a decent hop bite. This part of the beer is good, but then there is this off-flavor that is overwhelming the good flavors. It is a chemically, metallic type of taste.

Above average mouthfeel.
If not for the presence of these off-notes in the aroma and taste, it probably would be a very drinkable beer.

Maybe this was a bad bottle. It appeared to be a solid pilsner hiding underneath something very wrong.

Pours out to a bright golden in the glass with a slight head. Aroma is that of slight yeast with a bit of tartness thrown in. Taste is somewhat bread-like with a light dose of caramel and hops. This honestly reminded me of PBR with a bit more taste. The finish does give you a little tease of hops. Above average and a refreshing beer.

Dark blonde hue with a distracting turbidity. Initially thick head settles into a thin, yet coating, dogged white ring. Sparse, oblong, foam aggregates dart my pilsner glass. Pronounced grassy hop tapered by sturdy, chilled wort like malt in aroma. White bread tones add a subtle, grainy contrast. Evanescent sharp hop bitterness fades quickly in flavor, and yields to a toasted malt and water cracker combination. Becomes lightly toffeeish as it warms, and agreeably malty. The hop presence is a touch understated, however, leaving balance a notch too sweet overall. Prickly and carbonic, but eventually dextrinous, with an oily tinge in mouthfeel. Finishes mildly herbal and caramelly sweet, but clean and abrupt in that regard. Market Street pilsner possesses supple malt flavor, but without sufficient viscosity and hop character for balance. Regardless, it's a simple brew with enough character for harmless quaffability. It grew on me.

Pours with a nice white head that stays, leaving some lace. Light to medium carbonation. Pale golden color not dark at all, malty nose. Light to medium bodied. Starts with a sweet malty flavor and finishes with malt but a hair of bitterness is there too. Sweet for a pilsner and quite drinkable.

Thanks to johnrobe for this one. This is a more or less middling Pils as far as I am concerned. Pours a dark gold color with a thick off-white head. Very little lacing. Aroma is lightly hoppy (Saaz I presume). The flavor is smooth and unthreatening. Some maltiness amid a lighty hopped and light-bodied Pils. While this beer did not set off any fireworks for me, I look forward to seeing what else this brewer has to offer.

In the "drink local" spirit, I bought a six pack of this as well as Bohannon Brewery Nut Brown Ale (same brewery, different names). Bohannon is the brewery founder's family name and Market Street (now 2nd Ave.) is where their brewpub is located. IMHO, the quality of brews at the brewpub can be spotty..sometimes excellent, other times decidedly mediocre. And yet this brewery bears the distinction of the having the most longevity in TN, so they must be doing something right.

The brew pours a light gold with a frothy white head. Herbal hops are evident in the nose along with lightly kilned malt. Light malt and grain dominate the palate with a bit of butterscotch (slight diacetyl). Saaz hops are there for balance but much less evident on the palate than the nose. A highly quaffable brew. A malt dominated pilsner that would score higher with a more pronounced hops profile.

Deep gold color, Saaz Hops are apparent in the aroma. Balanced taste with emphasis on the malt. Moderately hopped aftertaste is pleasant. Nashville's favorite pilsner!

Moderate hops with average body. Nothing particularly noteworthy about this pilsener.
