Bought a bomber today. Store manager said it was okay, but not spectacular. I like things different, so I gave it a try.
Pours with a light head that disappears into a thin layer of extremely fine bubbles that wick up the glass without much lacing. Color is medium amber, clear until you get to the yeast in the bottom of the bottle. Bubbles continue to maintain the head.
Nose gets malt with some strawberry. Second pour has more berry aroma.
Flavor is of wheat and strawberry, more of a light wheat. Not sweet, but not overly tart. (I love gooseberry pie w/o sugar).
Mouthfeel leaves the berry flavor, better in the second pour. No sense of alcohol, in spite of the 7.7% label. Good move by the brewer.
My store manager was right, it's okay but not impressive. I've had far better from Bridgeport and won't buy this one again. Too many better beers in today's market.

Served this 22 oz. brown bottle in a Sierra Nevada Hops glass. No date. The beer was hazy orange with a sizzling frothy head that was almost white. There was very active nucleation and a cap of creamy foam remained.
The smell was mildly fruity. Mild strawberries. However, it began to reek. I swear it smelled rotten! Worse as it warmed.
The taste was tart but stale strawberries. Too watery and thin. There didn't seem to be enough malts to compliment the berries. Garbage began to prevail, something is wrong here.
The mouthfeel was to thin but the fine carbonation was active. I ended up pouring this one down the drain. Disappointing.

We have strawberries all over our kitchen. I love strawberries, and pretty women. Why would I not try this beer and share it with my Ginger fiance. The international symbol for Gingers is teh strawberry appearantly.
Cloudy amber, copper, and wheat grain color. Nice head and good retention with nice bubbling.
The aroma makes me think of strawberry jelly. Not overpowering at all, dominant and well integrated aroma. Toasted cracker and unmalted barley malt aroma mixes well.
Strawberry jelly spread on toasted white bread. Can't detect any hops, but I imagine they're there for flavor balance. I like this beer. Perfect for Summer with its soft, gritty, and carbonated palate.

22 oz. bottle tried 24 Nov 2011. Served in the 0.4 L Herren Pils snifter.
Tiny slightly rose tinged white head. Lightly carbonated. Hazy rosy amber in color. Aroma is strawberry tart, reminiscent of strawberry muffins. Light strawberry to start, not particularly sweet. Light body, ethanol is well hidden (would not have guessed more than 5%). Not very complex, just light strawberry and a touch of buttery sweet malts. Somewhat sweet finish.
Not bad, but nothing to make me want a second one.

22oz bottle poured into a couple large snifters
Pours pinkish orange with a small head. Slight cloudiness due to the small amount of sediment as the bottom of the bottle. Smell is lagery and moderately fruity.
Taste is not so nice. Kinda blah beer with fake-tasting strawberry flavor. I'm going to have to remember not to get this again.
Mouthfeel is light and effervescent. Overall, not a fan. It just doesn't taste good. Sorry Bridgeport, I usually like your beers, but this one's a bust.

Chill hazed amber colored with a tall white head.
Smells of strawberries and caramel with a little grassy hop. Mostly this smells like cooked strawberry.
Starts out sweet and sour with a fairly strong strawberry taste. Mildly bitter and it gets sweeter as you drink it but not much more here than strawberry.
Mouthfeel is OK.
Overall this is a try it once type of beer. Tried it, don't need another bottle.

Pours a light golden copper with 2 fingers of head.
Hard to pull any specific smells out of this one, maybe some weak malt notes but only a hint of the fruit.
There is a little bit of tart strawberry taste here, but most of the flavor is just of weak bready ale malts.
Mouthfeel is pretty thin.
Not something I'll be buying again.
