1 Pint, 6 FL OZs bottle poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance: Hazy-unfiltered orange/copper beer with a patchy cream off-white foam head that clings to the sides of the glass.

Smell: Very pronounced grapefruit hop aromas, spicy with background sweet malts and a faint bready grain aroma.

Taste: Yuk! This isn't what I expected from a Bridgeport beer. Yes, there are some nice hops, Malt includes some toasted, slightly bready and light honey flavours with an even malt sweetness. It hardly balances the beer, but does keep it somewhat control. Beer finishes with a soapy unbalanced bitterness.

Notes: This a beer I picked over a Deschutes Bond Street series...I wish I picked the latter!Disappointing :~(

Not sure what year this one is: no date on the bottle, label, or cap, but the pic looks like my bottle, so...

Good looking beer, golden and clear with a creamy, one-finger head. Light malt note with some faint earthy and citrus hop aroma. Biscuit and light caramel/toffee. Taste has a it of fruity esters, soft of peach-like. Light-to-medium bitterness at the finish. Almost medium body with decent carbonation on the tongue making for a soft feel.

Well, if this is an imperial styled IPA, it ain't got it. Lacks the imperial 'oomph', especially in hop aroma and flavor. Tasty and drinkable enough, but I just don't see the 'imperial' in this "triple hopped imperial style" ale.

undated 22oz bottle served in a New Glarus pint glass.

Pours with a medium, rather creamy looking bone-colored head. The beer itself is slightly hazy golden amber. Notable and rather chunky sediment remained in the bottle after the initial pour. Lots of sticky lacing on the glass.

Smell: hoppy with a lot of citrus and some floral, herbal and earthy elements. Presages a taste that will be both sweet and tart. Marred by a bit of dankness.

Taste: more malt than is common for style, making for a more balanced mix of sweet malts and bitter hops. A hit of tangy hops and/or yeast towards finish, followed by an earthy and bitter (grapefruit) aftertaste from the hops. 3.75

M: nicely carbonated; medium body; rather dry finish.

O: this unfiltered Imp. IPA has a homebrew (not that that is a bad thing) look and taste, and a very fine mouthfeel.

Poured into a Stone Imperial glass. Very light, bright orange color. Clear and full of carbonation bubbles that lead to a large two finger, bright white and rocky head. Lace is extremely sticky.

Smell is of wheat, bread and yeast. I'm not pulling any fresh hops or anything else for that matter.

Taste is very malty sweet. A small taste of bitter over rip orange, but other than that all I get is musty yeasts and earthy malts. There isn't the slightest taste of a fresh hop. In fact it actually taste like old soggy, moldy hops.

Mouth is medium bodied with average carbonation. Consistency is smooth and finish fades quick.

Overall I am really let down by this. It doesn't taste fresh and hoppy like a harvest ale should. Instead it tastes old and musty. Not recommended by me. Thanks to matttYCE for this sample.

Color is golden straw, and the beer is hazy. Aroma is grapefruit (Centennial hops) but is not overpowering. The flavor of the malts is very subtle. I can't taste much, but I think it's by design. Flavor is mainly grassy hops--and they are very bitter. I didn't taste much citrus. My wife was unable to finish her small 3 oz pour due to the bitterness. Body is light to medium, and it has a nice mouth fee. The bitterness lingers.

Appears a golden amber color with a sizable white head.

It smells of apple juice, grapefruit, oranges, and lemon.

It has a nice citrusy taste to it. I get a big lemon taste. I get a little bit of a grassy hoppy flavor but not as much as I would like from a DIPA. The taste ends with a mild bitterness. There is a bit of an apple taste that lingers in my mouth.

Carbonation is around medium.

Drinkability is pretty good especially for a DIPA because the flavors are mild.

I guess the beer is ok but it is not a DIPA. It is an ok about average wet hop ale though.

22oz from Fred Meyer. N.Salem. $5.49 Fairly typical slighly hazy burnt orange IPA-esque coloured beer with a very nice thick off white head. Aroma leafy/lemony hops what else? This one smells slightly less than fresh..but still nice enough. Taste is way more intense in hopping than the aroma suggested..very strong with hints of pine/spruce along with the citric character. Malt seems on the weak side though. OK on the palate,Maybe a little thin. Average Overall a nicely drinkable but not stellar IPA..it might have been better very fresh rather than a couple of months old now.

Poured into a standard pint glass results in a meager head that fades quickly into a thin cap with moderate lacing, appearance is a hazy orange.
Don't know about this one, perhaps the hops are already fading as the aroma is quite mild for the style, some citrus rind and bread is all I'm getting.Taste is also somewhat simple, sweet malts and bitter hops.
I'm pretty sure this can't be as the brewer intended for a DIPA, Tastes remarkably like Torpedo but lacking any floral hop notes.
Good to drink, but not up to what I expect in a DIPA,

Bomber at Four Moon. New to the market, first time seeing this beer. It's in the same vein of Bridgeport IPA, mild, citrusy, and very drinkable.

Orange gold, slight haze, with concentric rings of drippy lace. Creamy foam, with lace sheets coating the sides of the pint glass by the second pour.

Mellow light citrus aroma, slighty leafy and dry.

Grapefruit, orange pith and peel, lightly bitter in the back. Not really the hop onslaught you might expect, though its pleasant. Dry herbal finish, light to medium bodied. Drinkability is its strong suit, at 6.56% its not a bruiser, and easy to finish in a sitting. Simplicity is a positive thing...
