Dark golden color, good head dropping from 1 1/2" to 1/4" then just a thin cover.
Smell of hops w/a hint of citrus.
Taste is hoppy, slightly citrusy. A light effervescence across the tongue. More like an IPA.
Light to medium-bodied, reasonably smooth. A decent beer, not great, good flavor, expected more though.

Amber color with a good head with good retention.
Aroma of malt and earthy hops with notes of green apples.
Balanced flavor of sweet English slightly toasted malts with earthy hops. Spicy feeling and hints of caramels, tea and minerals. Long lasting dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light body with low carbonation.
Classic English Pale Ale with a nice bitterness.

Orange-amber...hazy. 1/4" off white head falls to a cap quickly. Powdery lace coats the glass.
Herbal with caramelly malts and a sour whiff (?). Alittle understated especially with the flavor that follows.
The herbal almost tea-leaf like flavor dominates at first with some nice, sweet malts balancing and a little spiciness midway to the end. Tangy. Excellent dry finish and lingering flavor.
Lower carbonation with a creamy, full mouthfeel.
Very good overall....definite session beer with some huntsman cheese.

Source/Serving: bottle, fresh
S: Mossy, herbal and green apple. Iced tea and plastery (gypsum). Light toast and lilies.
T: A nice balanced brew. Floral, herbal hops up front riding over a solid backbone of bright heirloom malts, which are quite intense for a 4.5% brew. Crisp and dry with light toffee fruitiness. The middle is biscuit, pie crust, apple with tea-like maltiness which is surrounded by an intense plaster mineral quality. Moderate slick nuttiness. Body is fuller than expected for the low gravity and satisfying. High carbonation from the bottle, but its still soft and I like it. Hits on all notes, sweet, dry, mineral and bitter (herbal) and is nicely balanced. Light sulfur. Finish is earthy sulfur, plaster, wild herb, tea, with light orange.
Notes: An outstanding, complex English session ale.

@ Greenland Cafe, Salem MA
When I think of Pedigree I think of dog food.
Clear amber with a hearty whipped cream head. The nitro carbonation made the top of my beer look like a honey stick for a few minutes. Nitro tap is cheating in the looks and mouthfeel department but it is what it is.
Aroma of English tea and nuts. Fruitcake-y.
Flavor is near perfect for an English pale: bread pudding, chestnuts and mild dried fruit. There's some English tea hop pop in back. More would have been appreciated.
Good stuff. I was told this was a nuttier, breadier Speckled Hen and I'll buy that. Not as fruity either.
