It was a pain in the ass getting here, there was a fender bender at the nearest intersection, and a large craft fair in progress in the parking lot. All that aside, it didn't affect the scores for the place.
Once inside, I realized first off that the beer shelves were right up against the front window, experiencing the sun in all it's glory. To be safe, I pulled a six pack of Hop Monster from a closed case in a display set back from the windows. (Edit: it tasted a bit old and the hops had faded, and they were sitting on several cases.) Quality score takes a hit for that... I was able to flag down a passing employee and ask about Devil Dancer, to no avail. He bent my ear though, mentioning how over the top boozy it was. That was ok, I continued my chase for the dragon. There were a good amount of limited beers and obscure seasonals here, maybe 5-6 lambics. 2009 Saison Dupont, which was nice to see, usually it's 1-2 years out of date (pulled a bottle from the back). 2008 Avril. Good amount of craft seasonals stacked on the floor with displays for 2 Hearted and Alpha King. Near the cooler there was a sad reject rack of winter seasonals. Checkout was quick and friendly, despite the mad weekend traffic.

This is a nice clean Binny's on hwy 83.
It has the beer on the northern wall and the matching aisle on the other side. It is a bit smaller than the Lake Zurich Binny's. It has a lot of good stuff packed in a smaller space though.
Like most Binny's it has a nice selection of Eastern Euro imports, most of the Belgian beers were on sale as it was Belgian beer month.
There wasn't really much service and the cashiers didn't look very knowledgeable. It is a nice Binny's for the area, but if you go a little west to Lake Zurich that Binny's is bigger and better.

This place is in a strip mall and it looks a bit small from the front but it opens up when you walk in past the Cigar store Indian. The beer is a long isle to the right with a big cooler behind it. You can walk around the outside of the cooler and see almost all of the beer or you can walk in and see it from the backside, plus a few kegs and stacks of cases.
They had rows of warm 6-packs and bigger bottles with most of the big regional names and a good mix of imports. They had a few big bottles that were from last season so I was happy pick up a few barleywines. I didn't really find any big gems but they have a 6-pack for every occasion. They did have quite a few singles of Sinebrychoff Porter but I couldn't find the date on any of the bottles.

Made a quick jaunt over here with my boy VDubb86 this afternoon to check out the wares. After visiting several Binny's locations, I'm convinced it's the best chain in the country, much less Illinois. Seriously: Beastly selection, good prices, good volume, helpful service if you need it...what more could you realistically ask for? In all honesty, the selection at this particular location is somewhat smaller than the others nearby, but it's still pretty damn good. I feel so privileged to be back in the realm of solid chains.

Not a terrible location and thankfully just off a direct road (Lake Cook) on my way to or from home in Wisconsin. I immediately noticed when I went to the beer section they had stuff RIGHT UP against the front windows. Needless to say I didn't pick anything from there and probably never will. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I haven't had one of the beers I picked up but the dates on the dated ones were good. The quality suffers from their idiotic positioning of beer in direct sunlight.
Everything I got, I took from as far back into the shelf as I could reach.
The service was fine. No one walking around asking if I needed help and the cashier carded me and took my money so all was fine there.
[EDIT - The service over the phone, particularly for the Samuel Adams' Utopias has been fantastic!]
The selection was good though. I saw a bunch of things I'd love to go back for that I haven't seen else where, I'll just be making sure they're from the back of the shelf.
The prices were on par with everything else in the area. Not a bad location at all but the whole window thing really hurts them.

Drove here after calling to make sure they had a beer I was looking for (BA Naked Evil). About a forty minute drive from my house (and I probably pass at least 4 other Binny’s in the vicinity on the way here). But alas, I wanted the aforementioned beer thus I trekked on out to Buffalo Grove.
I walked in and noticed the beer selection immediately on the right. Not nearly as big as other Binny’s near me, though it still had a solid selection. I was pleasantly surprised to find some 2010 Cantillon Classic Gueuze (there were at least 12 bottles) sitting right there on the shelf. Needless to say I picked a couple up and enjoyed one last night.
Not many coolers with beer in it compared to other Binny’s I frequent. Service was good – I was asked if I needed help a few minutes into perusing the beer selection. While not the best Binny’s out there, it still has a pretty good selection, and you may even find a hidden gem or two like I did. If I am in the area I’d stop by it just to see if they have any lingering Cantillon.

Made it out here and was a bit disappointed. Service is mostly hands off in terms of beer selection, if you are looking for spirits, like other people in the store were when I was there, then there is a bit better service in this area. Beer is nice and organized, sixers here, singles and 750s there. Some of the beer has been sitting on the shelf for quite some time, I found four packs of Great Lakes Black Out Stout from over a year ago. Besides this, the selection here is smaller than at other suburban Binny's locations. Not really a beer destination unless you live in the Buffalo Grove area.

This place I have been to a few times, in fact I believe that it was the closest one to me until the Binny's was built in my hometown. The quality of this Binny's is just as good as all of the others, I was really pleased with the way that everything is laid out. The seem to now have a larger craft beer section in this store then I remember them having which is definitely a plus. This store seems smaller than some of the other Binny's that I have been to, but still seems to have relatively the same stock as the one nearest myself with just a little less bottles, and there is a smidge more international selection here. The service depends on if the beer guy is there. They are well trained individuals and will really help you out if you're trying to decide. If he's not there, well then it's a crap shoot. Overall, just like the others this is a damn fine store.

I went to this Binny's looking for some Kentucky Breakfast Stout (to no avail) and was pleasantly surprised by the selection. The Binny's I went to downtown Chicago didn't have near this selection. They have lots of American micro's that will solve your beer need at that moment guaranteed. They had quite a bit of Founders, Three Floyds, Southern Tier, Two Brothers, Goose Island and all the other usual suspects. It was all well organized and very clean all around. They had quite a few barley wines and a few lambics along with a entire selection of seasonals. The Belgium selection was also good with all the other usual Belgium brews. I don't really know enough about the Belgium side of things to say if they had anything special, but they did have a lot. A pretty nice store if you're out in that area.

First of all, this IS my local beer store. The craft and import beers are on the far right hand side wall. There are bombers on the top shelf of beer wall and some in the coolers. Plenty of 6 packs and cases for every level of beer geek.
The selection for the size of the store is outstanding! In the past year, the quality and variety has increased, especially concerning the US craft beer section. There is a NEW beer section/tower with a wide range of styles from across the USA and around the world.
Kyle is not only THE beer guy, he is MY beer guy. He is very friendly, has high beer IQ, can suggest and comment on almost every beer in the store for newbies or beer geeks.
MIGHTY FINE BEER STORE, CHECK IT OUT!
