Poured from bottle to a weizen glass, best by 10/16/2012.

A: Fluffy, white head with lemon yellow body, golden hues, slightly cloudy.

S: Wheat, citrusy hops, and a slightly Belgian profile of coriander and lemon peel.

T: Very tasty brew for a regular release, albeit a new one. Wheat, citrusy hops, lemon peel, grapefruit, and a bit of bubble gum. Very nicely done.

M: Refreshing without being watery, hoppy without ripping your tongue off.

O: Very well executed new entry by Boulevard. I believe this is going to be a year-round regular release, and may very well be my new favorite at this tier from Blvd.

Poured into a pint glass from a 12oz bottle.

Pours a very nice slightly hazy wheaty straw yellow. There is a nice 0.5 inch head that is white and soappy but alos dense.

Aroma of citrusy hops notes. Lemony and some tangerines in the nose with some grassy hop character that is enticing yet mild. Nice earthy and grainy wheat notes with some good bready sweetness as well. Very appealing nose.

Flavors starts out with some fruit sweetness and a nice grassy herbal hop note that once again is there but is mild and refreshing. There is some nice wheat sweetness and grain notes with nice bread and earthy notes as well. Very delicious true wheat ale that has a hoppy background but non of the overwhelming hop resins and bitterness that other hoppy wheat ales have. The finish is refreshing and crisp with nice wheat flavors and some slight bitterness. Incredible beer. This is up there with the best. Mouthfeel is light and crisp but incredibly flavorful.

This brew is great. True to the wheat ale style but with a nice refreshing hop kick that is lemony and citrusy without being a hop bomb. Nice earthy and grainy wheat notes with some nice herbal hop notes to back it up. My favorite of Blvds regular line up.

Pours a cloudy straw yellow color with a 3 finger foamy white head with good retention and lacing. The aroma has lemons, wheat, and bread malt.

The taste is slightly sweet, with a decent amount of bitterness for balance, and has lemons, wheat, light spice, and bread malt.

Light bodied, average carbonation, and a light lemon aftertaste. Crisp, easy to drink, and a nice beer to have on a warm autumn afternoon. Worth having again for sure.

The beer pours a slightly hazy straw color with a white head. The aroma has a good bit of pine, as well as some light orange citrus notes. There is also some nice wheat in the aroma. The flavor is very similar. The wheat really comes through up front, with some lighter pine and orange notes, as well as some grass and a bit of pepper. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice.

Getting it a little late in the season - actually didn't see it around much until lately. Am missing the best by date by about 10 days.
Poured into Boulevard tulip, of course.
Both attractive and fragrant. Cloudy pale straw and big full white head. Especially with a little warm on the liquid a sweet and light fruity hop aroma.
Even a little fruit in the taste. Tangy and tingly mouthfeel and fully carbonated. Soft wheat flavors. Noticeable drying on the finish and soft bitterness laying on the tongue. Flavors fade out quickly.
Nice beer and certainly an enjoyable summer addition.

Finger of head. Cloudy, pale straw color.
Smells like spruce and citrus. Like a Christmas tree with lemons on it.
Interesting taste. I like it. Lots of citrus bitterness with an underlying soft wheat flavor.
Low carbonation, medium and crisp body.
The taste is pretty amazing.

Boulevard offers the weary summer beer drinker something else to beat the oppressive heat with. 80 Acres pours cloudy gold. Things are topped off by a couple of fingers worth of white head. Head eventually settles to a ring. Plenty of lace is left in its wake.

The aroma offers up plenty of hoppy goodness. Citrusy hops shine. Juicy grapefruit and orange notes shine. A bit of lemon there as well. Some vague tropical notes hit beneath the the citrus. Some light wheat malt notes try to break through the hops.

The taste is no less hoppy. Citrus notes are much stronger on the palate. Juicy bitter grapefruit hits first. Blending with the grapefruit is plenty of juicy orange notes. Some light lemon and vague tropical notes round out the hops. The wheat takes on a stronger role on the palate. Tart wheat notes flow beneath the hops. The finish is bitter with lingering citrus hop notes.

80 acres is light bodied and effervescent.

Another outstanding beer from the folks at Boulevard. A nice hoppy and refreshing brew. Summer just got a little more bearable.

12oz poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint Glass.

A - Pours a hazy golden straw with a frothy white head that doesn't stick around too long.

S - Lemon, pine, candied, orange, wheat malt, sourdough yeast.

T - Sweet lemon tart flavor with pine underneath. The lemon and pine really bounce off each other throughout the drink. A mild peppery edge as it warms up. Grassy hops and watermelon rind come out as well. Finishes crisp and dry.

M - Moderate carbonation, smooth feel, light but firm.

The focus is on the hops. This is what I'd want to drink during a run. It's fresh and clean but still has the wheat body to give it some substance. I'd take this over the regular Pale Wheat Ale any day.

Served in a New Belgium tulip at Red's during the New Belgium tap takeover yesterday. Reviewed from notes. Menu listed ABV as 5.0%

A: Pours a cloudy, pale orange color with one finger of nearly white head. Good retention and lace.

S: Nice, light citrus aromas.

T: Tasty combination of citrus, apricot and peach. Not too bitter. Really nice flavor.

M: Light and smooth, with good carbonation.

O: This is a tasty beer, reminiscent of Gumballhead and Little Sumpin Sumpin. Word is that this will appear in bottles sometime next year, and I know I'll be looking for it.

Big thanks to FTowne for this bottle...

A: Pours a great cloudy light orange with one full finger of puffy white head. The foam settles slowly, leaving a nice rocky layer of foam on top of the beer.

S: The nose is lemony hops, with a touch of lime, light malt, pine. It's really hoppy for a wheat beer. I'm looking forward to tasting this. Smells great.

T: It starts off with a mix of pine, clove, banana, and coriander. In the middle it gets a bit more astringent, to the point where it finishes with lime citrus notes. I even get a bit of pineapple juice in here. This beer is interesting, and damn tasty.

M: Light bodied beer. It's crisp and biting to start, but smooths out in the middle. The hops come on strong after than linger on the palate. It's sticky, but refreshing.

O: Overall, I really like this beer. It's a weird mix of a wheat beer and an ipa but it works. It's really enjoyable. I'd drink this beer again, no question about it.

Hazy straw golden in appearance, with a rich, frothy head of white suds. Lovely lace, too.

Aroma is pleasantly citrus-hoppy.

Taste is smooth, again with citrus hops dominating, but not in an overpowering way. 80-Acre displays a superb amount of balance between the hops and wheat-grain sharpness.

A delightful, easy-drinking session ale that is my new "go-to" Boulevard beer. Bravo, as this is one I'll gladly return to!

Picked up a 12 oz bottle to try from Gravity Beer Market in Olympia, WA on 26 Jan 13. Poured into a pint glass.

A: Hazy straw/gold color with a finger and a half of head that retains very well.

S: Citrus hop aromas, distinctly wheat, grainy, and bready malts.

T: Some citrus hop flavors, lemon zest, and wheat. Floral and earthy notes very much present as well. Finishes smooth.

M: Crisp and refreshing. Lighter body and medium-high carbonation.

O: Well-done execute of part citrusy APA and a straight wheat beer. I'm sure this would be a great lawnmower beer.

Hazy yellow leaning to gold, with a finger of white head that recedes to nearly nothing.

Bready, with deep citrus and even some pine - that's a really nice nose.

Fresh - an obvious spin-off from their Unfiltered Wheat, but a muted form of it, ramped up with the addition of a citrussy punch of hoppiness - mostly a fruitful combination of lemons and mango.

Pops of carbonation help underscore the bite of the hops - relatively juicy, but still oddly dry.

A great addition to the Blvd roster - right there with Single-Wide in my book - hoppy, but not overblown. Tasty, but not pretentious.

Pours a beautiful hazy gold liquid with a generous white head.

Aroma is a mix of hops and citrus.

Flavor is hard to take in. The two dominant flavor notes (the hoppyness and the citrusy-wheat beeryness) to me are not team players. Both are so dominant that it feels like it would have been better for this beer to slightly tone down one of these notes, maybe by making this a Wheat Pale Ale rather than a what IPA. I also wonder how this beer might be with a little aging to round out the hops?

Mouthfeel is nice and full with a little bit of pricklyness.

Overall, this is an interesting beer. A nice change of pace but probably not one I would seek out on a regular basis.

Poured into a standard pint glass.

The beer is a hazy, murky straw-yellow. A nice foamy white head levels out to a film and sudsy light lacing is left on the glass.

The aroma is of sweet lemongrass, malts, wheat, and a tang of hops.

The flavor is amazing. Tons of apricot and peach upfront. Sweet grass, wheat, and floral notes. The hops are in the finish, a dry sour one at that, if.

Mouthfeel is light, carbonated, and dry.

Overall, as others have said, I'm not getting so much hops, but I'm getting tons of fruit sweetness, and by God this is a delicious beer. There is hops in the finish, but by then you're so happy about the body that you couldn't care less.

Poured this one into a regular pint glass, and the brew makes a massive amount of bright white foam, and the body is mildly hazy and is whitish gold in color. Foam retains quite well.

The aroma is dominated by the lemony hops, has a slight earthiness to it, and is kind of perfume like.

The taste is dominated by the lemony hops, there is a slight orange rind flavor on the back of the tongue, and altogether is very zesty.

Feels refreshing and crisp, but also a slight dryness to the profile. This is the hoppiest wheat I've ever had!

This beer really deserves it's own style, as do many normally called APWAs. How about Hoppy Wheat Ales? Or Hopped Wheat Ales? Naming conventions aside, this is a very tasty beer. Has a great haze, great nose that implies it's far more bitter than it is. Instead, it has all those great floral aromas as tastes without the bitterness. What a gold mine of taste, and a knock out brew.

Appearance: high carbonation, bright yellow-gold in color, one inch head, hazy

Smell: wheat and citrus hops

Taste: wheaty, grass, and citrusy hops that are especially present at the end

Mouthfeel: crisp, light bodied, high carbonation, sweetish start with bitterness coming in the middle and a bit more prominent towards the end.

Overall: Super clean. For the style, this is one of my favorites. A perfect summer beer that I could have several of. Nice pilsner like taste with a touch of pleasant bitterness that is never too bitter. One of Boulevards better small beers that I have had the pleasure of trying.

A lightly hazy pale straw body. Nice frothy white head with good retention. Looks much the wheat beer.

Aroma is nice. Citrus from the hops and wheat blend together nicely. Has good sweet citrus and a cut of lemon from the wheat.

Really get a nice fruity character from the hop without being overpowering. Some pine and lemon round out the spicier flavors. Nice little touch of sweetness from the wheat.

Nice smooth mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. This beer will be a must in the summertime. I think Boulevard has done something special here. Right up there with little sumpin sumpin, oberon and gumballhead for me as top american wheats.

Deep citrus and some pine, a really nice nose.

A punch of hoppiness with some citrus - lots of lemons and mango.

Finished with a clean, slight hop bitterness. Good beer and I would drink it again.

Appearance: 80 Acre looks like a very creamy Hoegaarden. Lemon meringue pie in a glass to be honest, complete with white peaks of foam.

Smell: Pine and lemon hops. Extremely odd for a wheat ale, but very enjoyable.

Taste/Mouthfeel: Excellent flavors. A hybrid between an IPA and a wit, complete with grapefruit, lemon, orange, and a hint of lemon. Crispy, yeasty mouthfeel to finish.

Overall: I would define this as an excellent gateway for Blue Moon drinkers looking for more excitement.

I don't really know what the point to reviewing this is yet. You can't get this beer. You should want this beer. I tasted it and I want this beer again. I would buy this beer. How many of us love Wheat beers? They're the perfect session beer. How many of us love hops? They add complexity, flavor and so much more. Dry-hop Boulevards highest selling beer, a beer I very much respect for being the bridge that got me into the realm of beer drinking and what do you get? You get a lemony hoppy nose that's just a pure joy to drink. This beer is like the Boulevard Wheat's bigger brother that comes to the rescue whenever someone picks on it at school. It's bigger and better and everything the little brother wants to be. As it pushes the teasers face into the ground you can sit and appreciate it's flavor of attack. The same lemony wheat flavor is there that's in the wheat, but there's this hoppy grapefruit quality that comes through and creates a unique, intriguing highly profitable if sold flavor.

I started getting strange with my analogy, let's just state this the way it is: Boulevard's Dry-Hop Unfiltered Wheat is an awesome drink that should be bottled and sold. Do it Boulevard. For realsies.

S-not a strong hop smell, more lemon and citrus, great smell that really makes this beer
T-my first one I was expecting hops but this is more of a wheat-belgium-mild IPA.
M-much more then Boulevard's unfiltered wheat, just right in that it is full, has some great character but is still something you can just drink after mowing the yard
O - This will be my new go-to Boulevard for when I want to enjoy multiple beers. The price is right and this is a great wheat style all it's own. Nice Job Boulevard!

A -Poured very cloudy, just what I would expect to see in a good wheat beer. Minimum white head and little lacing,

S - This definitely has an IPA influence. In the nose the citrusy,piny, hoppy notes take over. Very pleasing aroma.

T -The very first thing you taste is hops. That quickly turns to a sweet wheat flavor with some citrus overtones, lemon specifically. It finishes with a sweet, but not overly dry finish. The boulevard website says that this only has 20 IBU's, which is very surprising. Although it isn't bitter, the flavor of the hops is very apparent throughout the taste of this beer. Superb

M - Very crisp and smooth.

O - This is a delicious beer. I'm normally an IPA guy, so of course I like it. But this is more than just a great IPA or Wheat Beer alone. I'm glad to see that this is a year-round offering, because it has earned a permanent spot in my fridge.

Bottle poured into a pilsener glass

Poured a nice 4 finger white foam head which settled into a delightful white foam cap with healthy lacings on the side of the glass

Fresh clean aroma of hops, citrusy lemon and orang rind. Hazy golden yellow. Opaque with the faintest of carbonation.

Wheat with hops , lemony , clean fresh and nice after taste. Light mouthfeel.

This would be a great beer on a hot summer day. Clean and delicious even in the winter! Really nice beer that I will definitely enjoy again.
