Notes:
Boss Tom’s Golden Bock is our seasonal offering for late spring. The smooth, soft maltiness of this traditional lager is complemented by a noticeable but restrained hop presence. The beer finishes with a lingering dryness and just a hint of caramel. The word “bock” also means “billy goat,” and images of goats are often used as a symbol of the style.

A- 2 finger head with soapy characteristics. Fast retention and a fair amount of lacing.
S- Nutty, biscuity and bready. Hints of honey and cracked pepper. Reminds me a lot of Fat Tire.
T- Buttery/bready taste almost overpowers everything else. Also, a strong hint of honey.
M- Medium bodied with strong carbonation.
O- Not bad. If you like Fat Tire by New Belgium Brewing then you'll like this.

A- Clear yellow orange, two finger head that doesn't last long at all.
S-Straw, malt, bread, toast. Extremely malty.
T-Very malty, straw bread, caramel. No hops. Slight grass. All around mild flavors.
M-Light, not much carbonation and dry.
O-A boring beer, starting to think the style is just a boring and bland one.

A-Pours a pale/clear golden color with a white, carbonated head that retains fairly well. Appearance is unimpressive as it even looks watered down
S-Malted barley, dry wheat bread, and sweet caramel with faint notes of peppery spice and floral hops
T-Caramel malts, dry wheat bread with a twinge of zesty spice in the finish
MF-Overcarbonated and a bit watered down. Finishes dry with an unimpressive body
O-Not bad. But not great either. This is an average brew that is underwhelming as none of the notes are too pronounced and too subtle. I would like it a lot more if the body was thicker.

Well within the best by date.
Smallish white head. Very clear dark golden color.
Grainy sweet malt aroma, with soft melanoidans.
Full mouthfull of malt. Soft and fluffy feel from the carbonation. Melanoidans are a little stronger here, but never strong, just pleasing. Still with some grainy character. Very mild hopping although a touch or two shows here and there. As warms some caramel appears. A small of amount of drying on the finish.
This is a lighter version and a nice drinking bock in which a couple would not be much of an issue. I think it's a little lower rated because of it lower abv and softer flavors. I look favorably on these things.
