Grabbed a 12 pack of this tonight at the local liqour store, hadn't realized until today that it was out. Excited about it, I can add to my Boulevard label collection and try a new beer, a new marzen/oktoberfest beer. Very excited. Side poured with standard vigor from a bottle into the glass.

Appearance - Pours a beautiful copper color with a nice two finger head that lingers for a minute or two. Leaves good lacing and shows a good amount of carbonation inside the glass. Like the packaging and the story behind the beer as well.

Smell - Bread crusts, toasty malts, and a nice hop kick in the middle and end. A light orange note, citrus note. Really inviting smell.

Taste - A lot like the taste, with a nice malty sweetness and toasty bread character up front, with the hops and citrus coming through more in the middle and towards the finish. A good caramel malt backbone. Really nice taste, really enjoyed it.

Mouthfeel - Smooth, sweet, good carbonation level and a little under medium bodied. The finish makes it seem so easy to drink a dozen or so of these. Dangerously smooth.

Overall - I would absolutely recommend this beer. Try it, buy it, drink it! Good oktoberfest beer, I would like to take this to some friends outside Boulevards distribution area and see what they think. Tasty!

Pours darkish orange Amber. Clear with two to three fingers of white head.

Smells spicy and earthy. Mild flavors.

You can taste the hops, as well as the spices. It has a very nice balance. There’s a moderate malty presence too.

Palate was very nice. Great for an Oktoberfest.

Overall, a fantastic take on the Oktoberfest style. This might be the favorite one I got in my sampler pack.
