This is the second bottle Boulevard Pale Ale that I picked up in Wichita, KS, and consequently, my second review.

A - Very clear with a pale straw color. A very nice 1.5 inch head that slowly died down to about 1/4 inch and left plenty of foam along the sides of the glass.

S - Sweet malt and some floral and earthy hops

T - Some great floral hops on top of a sweet but subtle maltiness. The hops stick around all the way through and into the aftertaste. All very simple, but very enjoyable.

M - A nice medium body but not as carbonated as I recall the last bottle.

D - All in all this is a simple, uncomplicated, but altogether refreshing beer.

12 oz. bottle, with best by date of 06/21/2013. Acquired as part of the Boulevard twelve pack sampler. Poured into a Firestone Walker pint glass.

A - Pours one finger of fluffy white froth for a head on top of a nice bright beautiful orange colored body with lots of sediment twirling around the glass, not unlike the Boulevard Single-Wide I.P.A. Head dies out quickly.

S - Earthy, pine resin hops, lemongrass, wheat and caramelized malts.

T - Taste is crisp, medium bodied, with tart citric lemon qualities. Decently hopped up for a being a pale ale. Sweet tangy hops are complemented well with the malts.

M - Crisp, refreshing, light to medium body, with a nice tart lemon hop bite. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste with some dryness.

Overall, another decent year-round beer from Boulevard. Simple, fairly average, and doesn't stray too far from the rest of the pack, but this is a pale ale that definitely achieves what it sets out to do, and there is definitely something charismatic about these beers.. A highly enjoyable and drinkable pale ale, one I'd be happy to revisit.
