This was the second beer store I tried in Tucson. It appeared to be slightly smaller in size than the very small Plaza Liquors, and it appeared to have just a slightly smaller selection, though Brew and Vine seemed to have a modestly different selection than Plaza. Plaza had more shelf space, and therefore offered a large amount of warm beer, while Brew and Vine seemed to mostly (if not entirely) offer cooler selections. Most of the store (slightly more than half) was dedicated to wine and the owner (who was my cashier as well that day, and the only other person in the store) seemed to be more interested in wine than beer, though he did appear to know his beer pretty well. He was very friendly and jocular, possibly to the point of being almost pushy, but not quite. (The more I buy, the more he makes, I guess...).
The store was well organized (though they were about to expand and some beer was slightly out of place--I found some vintage Brakspear in with the Belgians), well lit and very tidy. Apparently Brew and Vine also offers beer and wine tastings and has a patio. I didn't experience either...

Just visited the Brew & Vine for the first time since their move (about a mile north of the old location), and WOW, what an improvement. They still have a liquor store/wine bar setup, but the whole place is strictly class now, very spacious and well lit! Both the beer and liquor selections were very good overall, bordering on competition with Tucson's outstanding Plaza Liquors. Specific to beer, they have a nice selection of American micros, and second to none on imports, with a definite German and Belgian bent. Staff is the same as at the old location, they're knowledgable and friendly, but will leave you alone while you're browsing if that's what you want. Prices seemed reasonable, a little high for liquor, varied on beer. My purchase was a 22oz. bottle of YuleSmith for $4.79.

i was first introduced to this place by a friend and i always seem to walk out of there with something different than before. I do have a wide selection of beer and wines, mostly wines. they usually have more of the odd balls beer that most major grocer have was is a plus in my book. you also have the option of making your own mix match six pack which can be good if you want to try a variety of beers at once. the owner is very friendly, he said he had a website with discounts if you give him your email address. i havent been there in awhile so i need to check out if he has any new beers in there, the whole plaza was redone this past fall but it looks like its still the same size, kinda small.
