750ml brown bottle with a freshness date.

Color: Clear gold.

Smell: White tea, white chocolate, chalky yeast, peppermint stick, clementine, mango and pita bread.

Taste & Mouthfeel: Very dry, very smooth with a crisp bite. Dried grass, yeast, light alcoholic esters, tropical fruit and lemon grass. A bit phenolic, faint honey, more graininess. Dry dusty finish.

Overall: Drinkable obviously. Packed with flavor, high on complexities. The subtle note of Cascade hops works in the dry hopping. Recommended.

Pours a finespun hazy gold with refined foam and good retention. The nose is sour lemon with a little funk way in back. Soft creamy head. Banana, soft fruits, spice, toffee malt. Sparkling taste, very dry with medium carbonation. It’s a little heavier than it looks. The alcohol is not perfectly hidden but darn awful close! It’s a pale ale so the sour bite from the hops is just good punctuation. In an over sized wine glass this ale has graceful poise.

smells like a belgian... well not a real belgian but you know... malty, fruity, citrusy...apple nodes? a bit of a spice smell.... 4.75

appearance is a cloudy amber... i like that

taste... wow.. indescribable in that it fits many molds.... yet doesn't fit any.... well done Ommegang...

taste - woody, hoppy... crisp and clean, smokey, a bit bitter... and citrusy....

mouthfeel is decent... good to milk this one on warm night in a screened in porch... if only I had a screened in porch....

bravo...
