Atmosphere- Went during the mid-afternoon on a weekday, so I imagine it was more subdued than usual. Very mellow, with people visiting fairly quietly. Have a nice porch to enjoy a beer outside.
Quality- Beers were good and served in correct glassware.
Service- Bartender was very nice. Labeled our sampler tray so that we'd know what we were drinking. He was also fairly personable and upbeat. We had scheduled a tour, and when we got there, another group wanted to go to. The bartender was polite enough to ask if we were willing to have the other group go as well, and delay the tour a half hour or so, so that the group could finish their sampler tray. We agreed, and the bartender offered to buy us a beer when we got back. Very nice.
Selection- All of the regular releases were on tap, as well as Wake Up Dead, which I was excited about.
Value- Samplers were a dollar a piece, as I remember. Pints were also reasonably priced.
Also went on their tour. The tour guide was really nice and knowledgeable. Provided a lot of info on the history of the company, and also about brewing process.

Stopped here on a cold afternoon and got a sampler. Line up was good, but I seem to remember the bulk of the line up was regular beers. The service was excellent, as I had a sampler and then when I found another I wanted to try, I was given a freebie. The rustic decor of the place was nice but the acoustics of the place seemed to give it an empty feel. I enjoy the beer of Left Hand, particular the Milk Stout of which I think is my favorite of the style, but with so many options in Colorado I'm unsure when I will visit this place again. But if I hadn't been there, I would definitely go.

My mom lives in Greeley, CO, about 45 minutes from Longmont, and I make sure to hit up the Left Hand tasting room every time I'm up to see her. It is definitely one of my favorite places to drink. In my experience the bartenders are always very friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to talk beer. I think the place has a gorgeous interior, lots of stone and wood, and I love that it's never empty but never too loud. Definitely a place you can go and truly enjoy your beer. They always have 2 beers on cask, and I usually try to hit up one of those each time I go. I do wish they served food, but I can't complain too much with Oskar Blues' Homemade Liquids and Solids being less than 2 miles away.

Tried out Lefthand on a recommendation from a relative that used to live in Longmont.
The beer was fantastic. Lots of options. Items on nitro, two cask taps and very reasonable prices. I am used to California tasting rooms costing somewhere between 7 and 10 dollars and was shocked when I got out of there for 4$ for 5 nice sized tastes.
I would Highly recommend it. Now i have to figure out how to get them to distribute to Cali...
The imperial stout that they were serving was very tasty. Nice high percentage with a very balanced low alcohol taste. The esb on nitro and the english style pale were also quite good.

Visited Left Hand while up in Denver for the GABF this year. Nice place, plenty of parking (but don't get in the way of the lady that grills hamburgers in the parking lot!). Staff was very nice. Our tour guide was very helpful answered all our stupid questions, and didn't seem to mind. I will definately need to go back when they have the disco ball and music going when the mash is done in the brewhouse. Plenty of beer on tap to be had, and lots of shirts and such to buy. The only fault I will give is there were a bunch of cigar smokers on the patio and the windows were open. I like to smell my beer when I sit down to drink it and the cigar smoke distracted. Having said that would highly recommend a stop if you are in the area.

A--- Good atmosphere. Laid back and you feel like you are at a pub, not a brewery. Location is a bit odd but the feel of the place and the patio is very nice. Music in the tap room was a good addition.
Q--- Also very solid. easy to read board and everything is pretty viewable once you walk in. Knew what I wanted before I got to order.
S--- A little slow with one register and mecrchandise sales but that was ok. informed staff and very helpful.
S--- All Left Hand products, why I went there.
F-- Unlike the othere breweries I visited this had a cart and some specials. Big plus.
V-- Got a growler of snowbound for $7. Excellent! a pint of Imperial Stout for $5!!! most excellent. Worth the trip and would do it again. Only negative is the location

I used to come here on a regular basis when I lived in Longmont. Recently revisited when I was in town for business. Best quality: the vibe. It is where many local beer enthusiasts go after work. Lots of stone and wood inside, two patios (smoking and non-smoking). When the weather is nice they open up one side of the tasting room to the outdoors (via a large garage-style door). As would be expected, the quality of the beer is better here than anywhere else, but it is only Left Hand beer. Two casks, one nitro tap, wine and non alcoholic beverages for those who bring non-beer drinkers or kids. The service can be slow when it gets crowded or when there are a few regulars around. Food is provided by local vendors and can be very hit or miss. Runs from (only) good to marginal.

I am going to echo a fellow Georgian when I say, "nice to be able to review a taproom." i made a CO brewery pilgrimage, and am astounded by how few I can review. Left Hand was fun, but not my favorite in CO, and I cannot review them. I was surprised by this fact, though, since I had some admiration for them. Decent atmosphere on the Saturday I made it in. A nice/interesting mix of folks; met some very nice locals. One of the bartenders played a Derek Trucks album, and that warmed my Georgian soul. Anyone who reads my beerfly reviews knows music is a big factor in atmosphere. Tour was also fun, if not overwhelmingly informative. I'll give Left Hand high marks for quality, the brews tasted better there, nitro milk stout, cask sawtooth were standouts. Nothing too crazy though, no one off brews, which was disappointing. Definitely recommend the visit, as I enjoyed all my CO brewery visits, just wish I could review them all.

Another Longmont brewery tucked away in the warehouse districts. This one is near the river, and has a nice patio with a decent view. The bar inside is wood and local flagstone, has a nice feel to it. A dozen or so taps, plus a cask offering. Some nights they bring in food from local restaurants. The beers are typical left hand offerings, with occasional variants. I've read some complaints about service, but I've been several times and never had a complaint. They also have some nice events, most recently I attended a Valentines day chocolate and beer pairing that was very enjoyable. I've seen some complaints about the prices, but breweries are always a bit higher than you can buy them on the shelf, nobody wants to undercut the local market.

Made a trip here yesterday on a Longmont/Lyons brew excursion. I didn't have a lot of trouble finding it, however. It's almost camoflaged into the nearby buildings, but not quite.
Good bar area inside, reminiscent of a nice basement bar setup- plenty of seating available, even though the place was hoppin on a saturday afternoon. Bartenders saw that we were served quickly and with appropriate glassware. Rather impressed.
However, there was no "small batch" or "pilot" style beers- the only beers available here were the same beers you could buy at a liquor store. Also, prices were somewhat steep. Not what I would consider completely ridiculous, but more than you'd pay if you ordered a beer with dinner somewhere.
I'll certainly stop by again some time though.
