Appearance: Pours copper amber with a thin off white head rather unimpressive no lacing to be seen either.
Aroma: Slightly citrus in nature and sweet malt fruit tones derived by the ale yeast, a sort of bready character with an off metallic finish to it.
Taste: Unimpressed here an astringent blend of hops bitterness with the slight caramel flavor in the malt, just harsh and hard to swallow down this beer is not my flavor.
Mouthfeel: Thin and sharply carbonated summing this beer up as a solid one.
Drinkability: Cant say I will ever buy this one again in fact I may just pass on the whole August Schell line of beers they are lacking in crucial areas this one mainly lacks in balance of flavors.

medium to light amber color with a thick head of white that sat on top throughout the entire session, nice lacing down the glass.
aroma is light, nice little notes of citrus, hints of apple, pears, light grasses and a smooth, even flavor or light fruity yeast. as i take the first sip i get the clean, crisp flavor right off the bat. really nicely done. clean and light hops, a good strain of yeast and very nice carbonation all lead to a solid pale

I decided to give their Pale Ale a try.
While it's supposedly "steeped in German heritage"--which seems a bit odd for an English style--it can definitely be described as an American pale ale. It has more body than I expected and an East Kent Golding dry finish, which is rather pronounced. While perhaps a little thinner than most locally brewed versions, it's actually not too bad--in fact, it's surprisingly tasty--and fair representation of the style.
I'm curious to try a few more of their efforts.

A fairly pale color with some shades of orange in there. Small head that fades pretty quickly. The smell is interesting. Definitely hops but citrus as well. The citrus is sweeter than I usually get however. Taste is similar to smell. The hops are lighter than other American styles but they are still well balanced in the mix. Not terribly complex but still enjoyable.

Appearance: Mostly brass body with spots of an opaque light orange takes presence in the center. Thick head sits atop and leave beautiful lacing.
Smell: Strong malty base takes shape with small amount of hop smells. A metallic, watery smell is present and not too complimentary.
Taste: A very malty base makes up most of the flavor. Hints of bittering hops comes later and is complimented well with small citrus notes.
Mouthfeel: Covers the mouth well with the strong malty sweetness and finds balance with the crisp finish and very small hop character.
Drinkability: Does a pretty decent job with balance and doesn't have many flavors that are too prevalent.
