On tap at the tap house. Actually heard the next table remark "why is it so dark?" It is hard to mess up a porter. A dark black body with enough clarity to show flashes of garnet and cherry wood color around the bottom of the glass. Smell is subtitle, smokey, coffee, and little else. Taste is smooth coffee, slight body lifts the flavor, some chocolate, the dryness of the porter isn't overdone with any sort of tannic astringency or bitterness. Quite nice.

Paradise porter - getting past the label was hard to do.. whoever does graphic design for this company should find another profession. But I liked the chocolatey quality to it... and the thick coffee blackness...

I had this one at Bosco’s in Little Rock, their brewing equipment was being repaired, so they had in guest taps.
Served in shaker, the beer is dark brown with ruby highlights. It has a thick and clingy brown head. It’s a nice looking beer.
Aroma of roasted malts, raisins and other dark fruit.
Taste tracks the smell but a bit lighter than expected. Lightly roasted malts, a bit of dark fruit and something a bit earthy.
The mouth could be a bit thicker but I like the low carbonation and softness.
This is a lighter version of a porter. Easy to drink but could be a bit more.

On tap at Capital Bar and Grill in Little Rock, AR
A: Pours a dark brown color. Nearly black with some ruby highlights around the edges. A two finger khaki head forms with good retention, and good lace is left all the way down the glass.
S: Light roast up front. Toasted malts, cream and coffee. Slightly bitter bakers chocolate. Simple, but very enjoyable.
T: Follows the nose with a light roasted character. Coffee is apparent that is a nice compliment. Toasted malt with a light sweetness. Caramel malts. A bitter chocolate flavor lingering that I enjoy. A great balance.
M/D: A medium body and carbonation. A nice crisp body that is smooth at the same the same time. So easy and enjoyable to drink. An easy beer to quaff.
Pretty much spot on for a simple American porter. I love the simple light roasted and toasted malt character. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.

Thanks to James for this state!
A: Pours a deep brown, almost black color with a small tan colored head. Nice head retention with thin lacing all around.
S: Some roasted malt, faint chocolate, coffee, and a slightly sour astringent dark fruit aroma.
T: A good bit of roasted malt upfront with a good amount of chocolate going on. The sourness from the aroma doesn't really show up in the flavor profile, but comes forward a bit as it warms.
M: Medium bodied, maybe a touch thin for a porter, with moderate carbonation.
O: Was quite nervous based on the aroma, but the off-flavors from the aroma didn't translate as much to the flavor profile.

12 oz bottle pours a rich, near-black color with an even cap of beige head. Retention and lacing are decent.
Nose has a nice balance of roast and sweetness. Mild fruit on the end, this is almost the definition of Porter to my nostrils.
This is a very fine example of a Porter, everything is in perfect harmony from the dusty minerals to the light nuttiness. Chocolate and roast, fruit and hops...it's all there. This would be a staple in my fridge if they ever decide to distro to Tx. This is right up there with Fuller's London Porter for one of my favorite Porters of all time. Some Porters tend to overdo it on the roasty/hoppy bitterness and make it less drinkable, and some can be too sweet and rich to have more than a couple. I could drink a whole sixer of this in an evening and be plenty happy. Very good beer!

A: A very dark beer with a tan/cream colored head.
S: Coffee, Caramel, Chocolate, Roasted Malt
T: A little bit of Coffee, the taste certainly follows the nose. Roasted Malt is apparent here. Dry finish
M: Carbonation isn't overdone. Medium Bodied
O: A decent porter. Tasty, enjoyable, could see myself reaching for this again.

Acquired via trade from MilwaukeeCrusher so a big “Thank You” goes out to him. Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a short dense off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is faint but contains roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out with a hearty roasted malt character up front. Then some flavors of chocolate and coffee come in. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly smoky.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, it’s a solid porter to drink for a while but there are better selections in the style.

Black beer with burgundy edges. Head is a creamy tan, 3 fingers high, showing good retention and lacing.
Aromas are of chocolate, coffee, treacle and a woody character.
Taste is a strong coffee-like bitterness from dark roasted malts, with some background sweetness
Feel is smooth, with a thick body. Moderately carbonated, the finish is dry and tastes of dark roast coffee bitterness.
Overall a good porter from Diamond Bear, especially if you like coffee flavoring in beer.
Thanks to TheBishopco for this one!

Pours black with light tan head.
Smell is rich with toffee and caramel. Some chocolate and smokiness too.
Taste follows smell well. Lots of caramel, toffee and a little smoke. Molasses has a strong presence as well.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied.
Overall this was much better than expected. complex and inviting.
