review from notes on 6.20.12. 12 oz bottle.

A: very hazed. a shade lighter than red/amber. head is bright white, lacing and retention are average.

S: caramel and toffee jump out of the glass. dried fruit. fig or prune. pancake mix. a little bit of fusel alcohol. in conclusion, nothing about this nose is saying IPA to me.

T: sweet malts, similar to the nose. minor bitterness back there. dry. milano cookie. very dry. raisins. more fruit than hop.

M: lower carb. on a medium body.

D: pretty one-note for me and not in a good hoppy way. malt sweetness into abyss...ive had the Two-Term in addition to the Presidential from Diamond Bear and while i thought the Two-Term was better, both are far away from any great AIPA or DIPA.

Served in a standard shaker at the tap room at the Brewery on 3/24/13. Pours a very hazy soft copper color with a very bubbly off-white head. Does not allow much light penetration. The smell is very subdued for an IPA with more bready malt smell than the hops. The hops a somewhat spicy and earthy overall with a little bit of soft flower smell to it. The taste was again surprisingly mild on the bitterness bill and very sweet overall. The malt just stood out a lot and the flavor was not quite astringent, but there was something off to it. The mouthfeel was soft with just a slight alcohol burn to it I didn't expect. I've had this beer before and really didn't think much to it, but this was a little bit off to me. I'll keep at it while I live in Little Rock, but it really did not do well on my palate.

Pours dark amber with white head that dissipates pretty quickly.

Smell is floral with hint of tangerine.

Taste is sweet malt up front. There is a rank bitterness to it. Not the crisp refreshing bitterness that a good IPA has.

Mouthfeel is light bodied. Good carbonation.

Overall this was only fair.
