Notes:
Old Faithful Ale is golden blonde in color with a crisp body and light malt sweetness. We cold conditioned this ale to give it a pleasantly smooth character and dry palate. The domestically grown noble hops give this beer a light, floral hop aroma, making it exceptionally easy to drink.

Pours a white head. Color is a clear golden color.
Aroma: Grassy and bready with a bit of citrus fruits. Pale malt profile. Very light aroma.
Taste: Grassy and floral hops. Definitely noble. Some fruits show. Bready malts.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and clean. Light bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends dry.
Overall, a very basic beer. Kind of boring. Golden ale is a bit misleading. Blonde is much better for this beer. Easy to drink, but not too enjoyable.

poured from the bottle into a pint glass
A - Pours a hazy golden blond with yeast making intricate patterns in the glass. Ample carbonation rises to the fluffy, two-finger off-white head.Head stays intact until almost the bottom of the glass. Leaves behind a wall of lacing.
S - Clean malt with hints of spiced pear cider.
T - Clean malt with a fair amount of citrus notes upfront. The body biased towards hop notes of peppy orange, mango, and passion fruit on a background of sweet malt. A nice twang of tropical fruits and hops as the beer passes over the back of the tongue followed by an oily orange-peel finish.
M - One the lighter side of medium bodied with plenty of carbonation that suits the tangy flavor quite nicely.
I first had this beer on a road trip with my father heading back to Oregon from Ohio when I was 19. I thought it was a solid beer then, and I still do now. The one complaint for some would a bit too much acidic hop notes in the body for the flavor profile. As a self-diagnosed hop-head, this doesn't bother me too much and I think this would make for a nice session beer. Everything I've had from Grand Teton has been great-excellent, and the only thing keeping me from picking up a six of this next time I'm around Yellowstone would be that Sawgrass and Bitch Creek would be the first choices!

This is NOT an APA. This is a Blonde Ale.
12oz bottle poured into a 71 Pale Ale pint glass.
A: Straw yellow color with hints at darker gold. The bottle says 'Bottle-Conditioned' but this beer is pretty clear. Slightly off white head leaves some lacing behind.
S: Really clean and refreshing for the style, slightly sweet and a touch fruity. Really clean malt bill without a lot of graininess. With aromas of banana and apple juice it smells similar to a Heff in some respects, but not identical by any means.
T: Tastes a lot like it smells, no real skunky pale blonde aftertaste. Slight sweetness, grainy malts, just a faint hint of earthy bitterness and nutty flavors.
MF: Surprisingly moderate body, this is not a watery beer. Perfect silky smooth carbonation bite and just a touch of hops in the finish.
O: Flavors really have that light, 'golden malt' feel. I like this beer, easily up there with Hoptober as my favorites of the style. I think this beer would have scored higher if it had not been mislabeled as an APA.
