500ml bottle - I'm guessing that this is just the version of their regular pilsener that uses all organic ingredients?
This beer pours a clear, medium golden yellow colour, with one skinny-ass (think Czech models) finger of wispy, barely foamy, and mostly fizzy dirty white head, which leaves a bit of reaching tendril lace around the glass as things slowly abate.
It smells of strong doughy and bready pale malt, a hard to ignore phenolic yeastiness, testy pome fruit notes, overly buttered biscuits, and very plain earthy, weedy, and floral hop bitters. The taste is more bready, doughy, and lightly caramelized malt, a still heady yeastiness, bland light orchard fruit, weird alcohol esters that just should not be, and still underwhelming earthy, leafy, and dead grassy hops.
The bubbles are pretty much subdued and hard to really get a read on, frothy or fizzy or what, the body on the far light side of your typical middleweight, and not all that smooth, as a pithy and clammy unpleasantness kicks it up from the get-to. It finishes off-dry, the lingering yeast and bready malt continuing to lord it over the ineptitude of the so-called noble hops.
Fuck - why is it that most things dubbed 'organic' have to be so insipid, and barely a shadow of their other selves? Beer, produce, sodas, I mean, I'm not a farmer, but what the hell? Anyways, this verily sucks for the purported style, barely avoiding tipping over the edge into the value segment lager zone (at just over 3 bucks for the half litre, it still doesn't 'compete' there). Nope.
