A very good friend of mine brought it to me from Belgium, 33 cl bottle of glass poured into the official tulip glass. I love the label and bottle --> Deus Vult!
-Light golden brown colour but also also dark brown with foamy head that leaves traces and disappears after a while, like 5 minutes.
-Sweet grains and fruits smell. Alcoholic smell. Watery wine smell.
-Raisins, light caramel, fruit cake. Light brandy. Grapes.
-Medium bodied tending to a full body and bitter.
Good brew.

750 ml corked & caged bottle in metal cylinder, from Løvbjerg Brønderslev. ABV is 6%. Clear reddish brown colour, large to moderate head, slightly off-white. Moderate aroma of malts, caramel, brown kandij sugar, Belgian ale yeast and mild spices. The flavour is moderately sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. Moderate hops.

L- Dark amber, poured with medium haze and 3Cm pillowy very light tan head.
S- 'Very Belgian', there is a very distinct bright/organic, vibrant yet natural smell to quite a lot of Belgian beers. It's like a fruit, or blend of fruits, but it can be hard to specifically name which one/s! Either way I like the smell.
T- It's quite bright in flavour, and goes into a very long and moderately hoppy-dry finish. In between the start and finish there is a taste that resembles the smell, this time clearer, a kind of quite deep woody/timber note.
F- Dry'ish with the kind of feel ABV%-wise I'd expect from a 6.0%. I see a couple of other reviews talking of it being 'sweet', and even the place I bought this from say the same; but I don't find that at all. And I do NOT like sweet beers, and have had the misfortune to have two this past week or two. It has a touch of richness (a different thing) + dry + quite spicy.
O- I don't usually buy Belgian beers with as low ABV% as this, but I quite like it. It's interesting to see how at 6% the Taste might be 'typically Belgian', yet the feel is radically different from a say 8% of the same style. It's not just the ABV% it's like much of the 'whole Oomph' has been taken out of it.

Copper color, crisp and fresh. Wonderfully malty, nice yeast with an irresistible orange peel smell and taste. Very subtle caramel and fruits in the background. Finishes as a dry and really enjoyable ale. Good one.

Served in a trappist glass in Las Buenas Pulgas. Pours a hazy amber colour, medium head with long retention. Creamy lace. Aroma of cookies, dried fruits, caramel Medium body, creamy palate, active carbonation. Taste of caramel, dried fruits , spices. Drinkable but for away from being a great beer.

Pours a hazy copper color with a medium top of white head that dissolves in a medium pace. The aroma is of light fruits, caramel, biscuits, yeast, sugar and herbs. The taste is very sweet with some fruity tones, while it is some malty bready tones in the back . The flavour then gets more notes of herbs and spices, and is quite much bitterness in the finish. The carbonation is quite high and it does not match well with the flavours at all. Light body with a soft but to flat mouthfeel.
A decent enough dark ale, but a little dissappointing.

this bottle i discovered has to be several years old, i have not seen this one around before now, so it must have been some time since it has been available fresh anywhere, anyone who knows me at all knows i love old dusty belgians! a light amber color to this one and a good head, uniform light haze to it and airy lace as it drinks. aroma of obvious oxidation but a lot of good behind it, including rum and raisin, dried cherry and toffee, faint cocoa and even nuttiness, along with a fatiguing belgian yeast ester profile including amaretto, banana, and red apple. the flavor is the same but sweeter, with a molasses and fig complexion to it, a lot of the depth of the grain that i best was there has faded into itself, sort of one dimensional but not boring if that makes sense, and with less body than i bet it once had. good bubbles still exist, and the oxidation works with the yeast pretty well, its now past mature to downright mellow, probably a far cry from as good as it was fresh, whenever that was, but its still different and enjoyable. i feel bad brands like this dont work here in the states, this is tasty belgian dark ale!
