On tap at brewery, just notes:
Definitely English-style IPA, with caramel malts and a rich backbone for flavourful hops, with oranges, grapefruit, peach and herbal notes (pine mostly); spicy yeasts also, with nice pepper and low clove; big bitter-dry finish, with some obvious local hops included too; no wonder it's what the master brewer recommends

Had some of this on tap in Vienna at the 7 Stern Brau House and then decided to buy a 500mL bottle to take home too.
Although the bottle travelled from Vienna to Prague and back to Dublin, I was very impressed with the overall quality of this beer. The pour was nice to a two-finger head and was a golden copper color and smelled great. Plenty of hops, but not too much, with a great taste that went well with a cheeseburger. I could definitely have another, but I dont think that I could drink this all night long as that could lead to a nasty night (and morning.) Needless to say, I will plan on picking some up again the next time I am in Vienna.

Appeared at the brewpub in February 2007. Came out a cloudy copper gold under a two finger off-white head that fades a bit on the fast side, but leaves lots of lovely lacing. The nose is mild with citrusy hop tones and a bit of spice. The mouth is quite prickly and fairly sticky. Nicely pleasant hops profile with a good sweet malt backing. The hops are under control, but clearly dominant. Plenty of floral notes at the start, merging nicely into espresso dry. The sweet malt and dry bitter last long into the aftertaste. This rendition is not extreme by any means, but very, very enjoyable.
