A not so beautiful yellowish color is the first thing that strikes you when the beer is poured into the glass. There is a tone of hops i the aroma. The taste is dominated by a stale bitterness.
Conclusion: A rather dull but affordable beer. Better than Pripps Blå 2,8% wich is in the same price range.

Risingsbo 1856, ABV: 2.8%.
500 ml can, 4.40 SEK at Willys.
A: Pale, straw-coloured, with a decent white head.
S: Some malty, bready aromas, with a weird chemical, or metallic, tone to it.
T: A nice bready touch, I'll give it that, but it mostly tastes like water, paper, and chemicals. Breakfast cereals gone bad.
M: Average carbonation, light body, and a somewhat dry and metallic, medium-low, bitterness. Quite unpleasant.
O: Cheap, by most means, could match a really cheap lunch, but I'd swing by Coop and get the Tingsryd Pilsner instead.

The colour is pale straw yellow; the finger thick white head quickly sinks to a white lid. No lacing.
The smell is weak. Some fresh hints. Sweet chemical flavours of bread and pulp.
The taste is light, almost watery. Chemical flavours of pulp and lubricating oil/sunflower oil. Thin. Hints of sweetness and a touch of lemon acid sour-bitterness. The aftertaste got notes of French loaf and a sharp low bitterness.
The carbonation is medium, the bubbles are small. Liquid is light.
Just another low-budget tax-free lager.
