I’m really impressed with this beer. I’m not a big nut brown beer fan because they seem to lack any distinctive characteristics. Basically it’s a boring beer style. This beer is one on the exceptions for me. It starts off with a darker almost porter like color and foam. The smell is filled with lots of malt, coffee and chocolate flavors. It taste very good, again it’s almost a chocolate porter with a little bitterness at the end. A great beer once the leaves start to fall and the television is filled with college football.

The beer had a dark brown and clear body. Poured into a pint glass with a half inch head. The mouth feel of this porter is light bodied and crisp. Mild hops and medium malts are balanced on the senses. The beer lingers with a chocolate nose and after taste.

A thin head, on a deep, dark brown body.
The aroma is a wonderful roasted malt and a little dark chocolate.
The taste is moderate bitterness balanced well with the roasted malt and chocolate sweetness.
A fairly crisp texture, moderate carbonation and medium body.
A delicious beer.
