Not nearly as good as I had expected (and had been led to believe), but still a good find by domestic standards, and I'm glad to help the people and businesses of New Orleans .. at least there is little aftertaste with this beer, and it's not bitter.

Given a choice, I'd pick Negra Modelo (from Mexico) over it, but at least now I've tried this one and urge you to do the same.

Poured 12oz into dogfish chalice
A- pours root beer brown with a half finger off white head
S- tons of amaretto, bready, some malt, some carrot
T/M- pretty think, again some amaretto, sweet candy, dried dark fruits, slightly bitter.
O- pretty easy drinking, unique flavor, worth a try. Better than drinking natty
