12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a deep rusty garnet with a thin foamy white cap. Mild lace left behind. The nose is sweet and bready. Notes of caramel, coffee cake, light mineral aromas. Decent body. Moderate heft with ample carbonation. Light bubble play on the tongue.

This beer is a bounty of sweet malts, as expected with this style. The flavors are all pronounced, rather than muted as many of this genre can be. Big flavors of toffee, biscuits, and a mild fruity quality closes it out. The flavors all work together, making this a well-balanced beer. A good Marzen that I'd get again for sure.

This is a nice beer for its class. It has a nice nose and a wonderful malty taste. It seems to lack a head but perhaps that was because it was poured in a hurry into the glass. I was served this beer and did not pour it myself. I liked the wonderful fruity aroma of this beer and will drink more of it when it is available.

Everything that should be in an “autumn lager” is there, but they just didn’t get the subtly nor the complexity into it that the better brews have. Plenty of caramel malts, with hints of pumpkin and hops for balance. Very sweet.

Poured in to a tulip. 1 finger, frothy off-white head. Clear, burnt copper/amber colored body. Good lacing.

Aroma was a bit earthy and metallic. Some bitterness with a mellow maltiness. A bit chocolatey.

Taste was floral upfront that faded to a earthy bitterness. Some light malty sweetness. Hints of chocolate. Slightly roasty. Mild bitterness in the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium/light body with medium carb. Crisp finish.

Okay for an oktoberfest. Needed more body and maltiness and little less bitterness.

12oz. Clear amber pour, about a half finger of white head. Retained pretty well.

Aroma, caramel, malt, yellow raisin. Not real potent though.

Taste, malt, much more toasty. Toffee and toasted malt, a little bitter chocolate. Some herbally bitter hops.

About mid bodied, correct carbonation. Drinks very easy.

Maybe a little sharp with the bitter, but overall this was pretty nice.

Dark amber, light brown color. Crystal clear. Off white, dense head. Leaves some raised ringed lace after the initial sips.

"Deep" toasted caramel malt, slightly sweet.

The flavor is dryer than the smell. Nearly no hop. The finish is mildly sour. Plenty of biscuit and toasted bread to the flavor. Rich body with a low carbonation.

Appearance - Pours a somewhat clear, reddish copper with an off-white, 2 finger head. Good retention. Very little in the way of lace. Spotty, at best.

Smell - Bread and honey at the forefront. Sitting beneath is subtle caramel and just a touch sour.

Taste - Bready character to start, with hints of honey and caramel. Finishes with a hop presence that's grassy in bitterness and just a touch sour.

Mouthfeel - Light to medium body with a fair amount of carbonation. A touch of buttery smoothness, goes down fairly easy. Finishes somewhat dry.

Overall - A fairly good Oktoberfest. Drinkable, and somewhat enjoyable, but it's not a must have.

A: A rustic autumn orange pour is a translucent amber in the vessel accompanied by a bready-frothy light tan head of 1 finge statue. Light to medium rise of effervesce with a modest lacing that was spongy and speckled in coverage. Nice amber color, modest head and a strong carbonation with some lacing earns a tick above average here.

S: Toasty caramel, some nobel green hops of light intentions. nothing much else here.

T: Flavor was a bit of sour caramel twang, metallic and tinny with some moldy hops. Flavor seems a bit off, toasted but very tinny.

M: Highly carbonated soda syrup, a bit of sour twang on the tongue, tinny some caramel greenery.

O: Overall flavor was disjustice to style, a return to the old ways of pyramid, cannot recommend and not impressed. Off flavor, tinny sour stingent malt and a pass/drain pour before middrink.

12oz bottle poured into tulip

Pours a slightly hazed caramel color with some beige head resting on top. Spotty lacing dots the glass while drinking.

Earthy, leafy hops in the nose with some toasted bread crust. Malty and slightly sweet with some caramel.

Light leafy hoppiness up front washed away by a wave of roasted malts. Bread crust, biscuit and caramel with soft sweetness. A hint of pumpkin and spice. Finishes with malty sweetness.

Lighter medium body, decent carbonation, bubbly and crisp on the palate. This is a great example of a completely average Oktoberfest.
