A- looks orange or a little red, a nice foamy head with lots of carbination rising.
S- hops and a hint of malt.
T- malty backbone, a little chocolate. Lots of hop flavors of citrus and pine.they blend thoughout the hop mountain.
M- medium body that has a bitter bite. A little to sweet.
O- solid pale ale, but not your run of the mill one. Try it when feeling adventurance.

Half pint at the Rake. Served in a small goblet. Amber colour, hazy, decent sized head, good lacing. Aroma was off fruit and malt. Tasted malt and cranberry, corky finish. Less hoppy than expected. Smooth, thick texture, low carbonation. Overall passable but more malt forward than expected from an APA.

A - Clear copper body, thin white head has good retention and lacing.
S/T/M - Hops up front, with resinous pine, slightly floral. Biscuit, bready caramel malt body stays light in body and carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel, finishes crisp and clean. Very light and drinkable.
O - Maybe a little thin on feel and not a ton of complexity, but this is extremely drinkable and refreshing. I'd get it again.

12 oz bottle was poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: This beer poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer and left some nice lacing on the glass. It is a hazy copper color with some clarity and bubbles coming up through the glass. Nice lacing on the glass as the beer was drank.
Smell: Some light grapefruit, fruitiness, bready, and caramel malts.
Taste: Same as above with more citrus, creaminess, and bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, low to medium carbonation, medium bodied, a little chewy, and easy to drink.
Overall: A nice APA from DE. Will have to look for more of this next time I am in the mid Atlantic area.

Bottled on 11/21/12, poured into a pint glass. Maybe a bit cold, so made sure I reevluated near the end of the glass.
A - Poured a cloudy dark copper/reddish color, half a finger of head that quickly dissapates, good lacing.
A - Faint floral and grapefruit.
T - Hoppy but in no way overwhelming, bitter at the finish. Balanced. But also sort of a dull taste, maybe three months is too long for this beer before drinking.
MF - Bright start, smooth malty feel, refreshing.
O - Not entirely satisfying, as if something is missing.

Picked this up in Totowa this past weekend, having never tried this before. APA's tend to be a dime a dozen with the odd exception of Delaware in this neck of the woods and of course, this was from our First State. I expected this be pretty run of the mill and that turned out to be the case. This wasn't too strong or hoppy like some other similar beers that I've enjoyed but it had all of the characteristics that one would expect from a beer like this, the most of which were subtle but present hoppiness from start to finish.
The pour to this was a dark apricot, bordering on rust, with quite a bit of sediment and cloudiness for an APA. The head was present, frothy, but not long lasting while the only lacing to be seen was after the first few sips. After that, all of it slowly slid down the sides of my pint glass. The characteristics of the hops leaned more towards an earthy side with some hints of mango and tropical fruits mixed in for good measure. Hardly any citrus except for some grapefruit in the aftertaste and very little burn to be felt. The mouthfeel was had some resin in it but not along the lines of SNPA and the finish was relatively crisp. A good amount of carbonation here but not a lot of bubbles to be seen by the naked eye.
As for the alcohol, that was spot-on. I could only feel a bit once I polished off the bottle and it never detracted from the taste at all. While there are better examples of this out there, this was a nicely crafted beer that stayed true to form and would be a good choice for someone unaccustomed to drinking something like this. Good from start to finish!
