Poured on tap into a tulip glass.

Super dark red body, hinting towards black. Foamy cap of mocha tan white, with a collar to match. Noticeable small carbonation.

Nose smells sweet fruit dominant. Welch's grape juice, mild little funk, good balance of sweetnees and funky character.

Sharp mild fruit sweetnees, good brett and funk mid palate almost with a nice woody roast character. Smooth wet feel, with moderate carbonation. Juicy quality slightly a bit, with grape and hints of dark red fruit, raspberries, cherry and so forth, mild pepper.

Real neat fun beer, like this sweet light fruit and brett mix.

Served in a balloon glass. Deep brown color with a tan head that moves off quickly and shows red highlights throughout the beer. Nothing special really.

The aroma is very interesting, hinting at berries and sour funk in the profile. I get notes of vinegar, blackberries, and blueberries in this beer. The aroma is also quite potent. Really good.

Sour up front, but not aggressively sour. Blueberries, blackberries, and boysenberries are all very prominent and mix with the dark malt characters. The dark malts roasted flavors are only there in the background and even then not much. Really tasty beer. Not much alcohol present. The sour is not overwhelming, the beer is quite fruity, and it turns out to be a great tasting beer.

Full body and decent carbonation. Fluffy, dry, acetic finish.

I typically don't like dark sour ales but this has really made me think otherwise. Quite a good beer. It's drinkable yet complex. It reminds me of Dannon Mixed Berry yogurt. That is how much of a fruit profile this beer has. This one surprised me. Good one.
