Bottle shared by Andrew. Thanks! This was made exclusively for Wine Warehouse. Aged in a single Four Roses bourbon barrel. The Curieux label reads:
Wine Warehouse
Bottling January 2011
Cases Bottled 20 (6 bottles per case - my note)
A: Pale yellow, almost looks like apple juice. Fast fading white head.
S: Bready with apricot and orange. A little caramel. Lots of oak with just a little bourbon. Dash of vanilla.
T: Oak, a little vanilla, almost no bourbon. Quite fruity, with notes of apple and pear. Strong alcohol profile. Touch of spiciness. Pretty sweet.
M: Medium body with upper medium carbonation.
Overall: For being 100% barrel aged there's a surprising lack of spirit character. I was hoping for more.
