Had this one at the Copper Mine Pub today!
Appearance: Classic Tripel cloudy golden blond with a 1.5 finger white crown that shows some retention and moderate lace.
Smell: Sorachi Ace lemon notes baby! Also some herbal and grassy notes, mild hints of grapefruit, and bubblegum like belgian esters.
Taste: Mainly sorachi and bubblegum.
Mouthfeel: Light side of medium bodied with medium carbonation and a very dry finish.
Overall: One of the most enjoyable Allagash beers I've had in quite some time. Please make more or I'll be forced to homebrew it!!!! (Who am I kidding, I'll be homebrewing it either way!)

Growler filled at DeCicco's Brewster, NY during their Allagash event .
Pours near clear, dull yellowy amber, under a lasting fluffy off white head. Leaves more then ample spots and strands of lacing and a tiny bubble film.
Pepper, yeast and ripe fruits on the nose.
Tasty tripel thats on the hoppy side. Nice amounts of more ripe fruits, moderate pepper, lime and Belgian yeast notes all the way through. Dry finish. Real nice Americanized version of the style.
Happy to get to try this on draft.

@ Milltown
Foggy golden yellow covered with a thick, white slab of a head. Not quite as murky as when my wife had a glass earlier in the night. Nice rings of lacing plastering the glass. Aromas of hoppy lemony citrus and flowers over some pale malt. Distinct Sorachi Ace hop flavor: sweet lemon and floral notes and a more pronounced spicy yeast element. Moderate malty sweetness, retaining some of the original Tripel character, but primarily zesty and hoppy with a dry, refreshing finish. Enjoyable...Sorachi Ace is a hop that can wear me out as it can easily dominate the beer with its unique profile, but Allagash handled it pretty well, allowing the base beer to come through a bit. Happy to have gotten an opportunity to try it.

Served in a balloon glass. Yakuza pours a perfectly clear yellow gold color with an excellent white, fluffy head that sticks all down the sides of the glass. The head dissipates, but slowly, taking its time and leaving its mark. This one is clearly dry-hopped!
It has a sweet, delicate lemon aroma, with subtle hints of cake batter. It's not quite as strong as I would like, and the Tripel aroma is just not present. It is not very Belgian-like in that regard. No matter though, because this beer smells great!!
Shit, it tastes awesome. Like really awesome and I am thinking how to get this on tap at my house. It is very similar to Brooklyn Sorachi Ace in my opinion, which is a great compliment, because I LOVED that beer. The Sorachi Ace hops do it for me I guess...coconut, vanilla, and banana all com to mind in this flavor.
Simply perfect carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a medium body. Smooth finish.
Wow, great beer. Love the hop profile, love the body, definitely drinkable as hell and would drink again! Seek out this beer! I was taken by surprise again, and this makes me think I need more Allagash in my life!
