Poured from a plastic growler (thats right, plastic) into my glass (thats right, glass)
DFH snifter. The beer pours a lazy oily brown black with a listless cocoa colored head. The smell is heavy of bready malt with a faint hop finish on the nose. The taste mimics the smell with a little more hops at the end in taste than in nose. The mouthfeel is flat and bland. This is probably due to a bad seal on the lame growler. I dont care for soda in plastic, let alone beer. Overall, I was unimpressed with this beer from start to finish. Ram, See Wookey Jack, Thats how you make a Black IPA (albeit with rye)
