On tap at the Ram.
(A)- Pours a fairly dark burnt sienna color. Bits of tan froth.
(S)- A nice profile of raisin and subtle roasted grains. Bits of bread.
(T)- Similar to the smell. Lots of raisin and cocoa.
(M)- A good carbonation level. A good balance too, though almost a bit thin for the style; really drops off on the finish.
(D)- A decent porter. Just feels a bit too thin mouthfeel-wise even for the style.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Still one of my favorites from here. It pours a clear dark amber-brown topped by a half-finger of dirty white micro-foam. The nose comprises molasses, brown sugar, roasted malts, chocolate syrup, and burnt caramel. The taste holds notes of light roasted malts, light coffee, light molasses, cinnamon, and blackened pretzels. The body is a light medium, with a light carbonation and a smooth finish. Overall, a tasty little porter; a bit thin, but extremely drinkable.

Impenetrable black with red highlights, nice tan head, goes away fast, no lace.
Chocolate malt nose, some zest from the fiz, ok not great.
The flavor is underwhelming, rather flat, just ok but nothing special, nothing out there, chocolate dominates, not long lasting, finishes pretty balanced. Needs something to be better than average.
A bit light and overly fizzy, not the heft you expect from a porter. Drinkable as a soft version of a porter, not bad for the abv level, I would take this over most macro's any day.

Pours a cola brown, some red highlights, small off white head and some spotty lace. Smell is roasty, with coffee, licorice, and vanilla notes. Taste is vanilla, coffee, some oakiness, bitter roastiness in the finish. Mouthfeel is smooth, with medium body and medium carbonation. Interesting porter and not half bad, went well with ribs.
