This light coloured lager offering , I expect has no pretensions held for it by the erstwhile brewers.
It is well carbonated and crisp and befits joyful consumption in an atmosphere of grilled lamb and octopus.
Yeah , its simple plain and drinkable , but not a reason totravel to Greece for

I am not fixed. I can drink this, but the aftertaste is of some sort of mass produced cheap candy. Like one of those fake strawberry sucker things that you get from the desk of a dry accountant in an attempt to keep you awake while the tax-ponzi scheme sucks away your precious time, and at only a quarter cent a piece what can go wrong. Right? Wrong. It is the aftertaste....the stickiness of the sugar but it was not sugar.

Euro classic lager nose but plenty of cereals. The taste is fairly neutral, with a touch of spice that adds non-negligible a few bodies in a slightly lower drink without making it extraordinary. Finish low enough, just the presence of a little wheat and most importantly, easy to drink quite interesting.

Got it from Greece,0,5l bottle.

A-First few seconds is good, but after, there is nothing, really nothing in the glass. Dark pale col,or,almost as IPA. One finger high white foam, lasting for few seconds. Very low carbonation.

S-usual for EPL.

T/M-Carbonation is high, spritzy. Taste is watery with low bitterness, medium sweetness.

O-Pass it,nothing special.

I got this beer from Mrs. Brabander when she was on holidays on Krete.

Poured in my Struise glass the beer looks normal. Decent white head with no carbonation.

Smell is not pleasant. It smells like a wet cellar in the morning.

Taste is not spectacular to say the least. Very twisted taste with a dryness at the end.

Next time Mrs. Brabander goes to Krete she can leave this beer on the isle!

Pours a bright pale yellow color with a pretty good white head.

Aromas are kind of doughy and sweet.

Tastes fizzy, with some bread dough flavors, and a little sweetness. Finish is dry with mineral hops flavors.

Mouthfeel is not bad, maybe a little over carbonated.

Drinkability is decent. Just another run of the mill lager that I found in Greece. Nothing offensive, but nothing really good either.

A - Clear light gold with a billowy head of white foam that drops quickly.

S - Odd chestnut notes and a grassy hop.

T/M - Somewhat bland. Weird astringent character with sharp off-alcoholicness. Hard, hard carbonation is bordering on painful.

D - Made for chugging for sure. The pain of the carbonation should make it easier to not taste the off flavours.

33cl Can purchased in Crete with the sole purpose of reviewing it. The third beer in my 'Drinking lager from around the World evening'.

Poured into a Duvel glass.

Very, very pale, a golden straw colour with a fine white foaming head at first. It just looks week, it's too pale.

Weird smell, cooking apples and hay?

Who ever decided to list this as a Munich Helles Lager must have choosen that style for the colour, cos it tastes now't like anything I've had in Munich (O'fest 7 times and other trips too).

Dry nothingness in the taste, a true lawnmower, feet up in the sun throwing beer.

Watery, soul less and boring. There are some decent lagers brewed along side the Mediteranean Sea, but this ain't one of them.

Asked a roommate to bring me back a Greek beer from her vacation and here I am.

Not bad, shows sign of a Munich helles and differences from a Euro pale or American macro. The aroma isn't anything special, it's just cheap and sweet. That flavor however, does have some grassy hops in the background of the light and bland malt body. Not a bad beer for vacation I guess.

A very pale yellow colour, almost towards the lght colouration, but still could have been better coloured for a higher rating. The head was lasting, which lasted about fifteen (15) minutes before discipating.

Smell was fairly descent, with hops most definitely present, and fairly well balanced.

Taste was well hopped and certainly no preservatives or bisulphites present. The feel and drinkability are slightly less than the taste due to the overcarbonation and under-fermentation for the style. Descent beer, well priced, and good Greek heritage.

Haha the last of the greek brews I had decided to keep for a while after purchase (dec. 2003) for no particular reason. One day, it popped out of the fridge and into my glass. Magical? not in a million years.

This brew, honouring the rest of its hellenic macro colleagues, pours its boring straw white head translucid appearance as so to say "hey, look, I'm a lager". Boo-freakin-hoo, the smell is very slight and rather uninterestingly wheaty, and guess what? The taste, closer to a bad pilsen than to a simple crap lager, is rather metallic and definet rubbish. Ugh. Greeks.

From the country where the founts of Western thought first flowed, Greece is the tap source of another great treasue; Fix Hellas Lager. This Hellenic brew is bilt off of its country deep meanifulness that is traced back to the days of antiquity and could be seen as a necessary addition to any Republic. Pours a crystal clear straw golden haziness with a white frothing head leaving a full trickled lace within each sip of this well traveled beer. My friend brought me back this sample of beer from a trip to Greece and I am thankful to be touched by it's grace. The aroma is characteristic of many European lagers with the slight skunk cabbage hops with a sharp full sweetness to the front. A great tasting crisp flavor that so good in fact if I where a Greek citizen I would have to get my Fix everyday. Great overall lemongrass sweetness that goes down easily with a slight grainy bitter finish, very nice hot weather beer. Definitely on my list of exotic beers light in body and fully carbonated to provide the crisp cooling down sensation in every sip of this Grecian creation. I would definitely partake in this beer while visiting the island without a doubt, ranks higher than any American mass produced beer without a doubt in my book.
