Appearance: Pours a nearly black, but somewhat brown hue with a a strong tan head. SRM of 23. (4.25)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of rich chocolate and dark fruit. Figs, plums, nuts, and berries. Malty finish. (4.00)
Flavor: Moderate flavors of chocolate upfront. Then it has a dark fruit characteristic of plums, figs, black cherry, and berries. It finishes with more chocolate and a slight coffee roast bitterness. Overall, chocolate and dark fruit for a smooth finish.
Feel: Medium to heavier bodied as expected for the ABV. Moderate carbonation. A smooth and mostly sweet finish with a light astringency. Hides the alcohol well. (4.00)
Overall: An excellent porter here that showcases the chocolate and dark fruit notes. The dark fruit has a tasteful complexity of figs, plum, black cherry, and berries. All dipped in chocolate. Hides the alcohol well. Some really fantastic stuff here and one of the porters I would have to try next to some of the best, such as Founders. (Rating: 4.22)

May 15th, 2015 - Alesmith's Robust Porter is, true to name, quite Robust. Kings of the dark brews, this is a heady beer, chock-a-block with malt and charcoal on the nose, and tempered with just a hint of cream. The flavor leans to the sweeter side, smooth and thin, with a nice carbonation and excellent balance. Soy sauce is prevalent and paired with steak flavors, makes for a supremely hearty brew.

On tap at Fermentoren Copenhagen, post-CBC. Dark pour with a thin head. Roasted malts, dark chocolate and just a hint of coffee.

Served on-tap at The Hopping Pig in a Shaker pint.
A: Dark-brown with ruby edges and minimal head if any.
S: Very sweet caramel with cola-sweetness and some raisin aromas.
T: Very cola like but finishes with more roast but overall sweet.
M; Light for the style and pretty easy to drink with low carbonation and light-medium body.
O: Okay but a little weird with the sweeter cola flavor.
