On tap at the tasting room.
A: Pours medium gold, with a frothy white head. Excellent retention, and thick lacing.
S: Lavender in the forefront and some very earthy aromas, almost like fresh dirt (in an intriguing, not off putting way). I'm getting some whiffs of soap, which knocks this a few points, but it's not a deal breaker.
T: Lavender is the showpiece here but it's kept in check, mild tartness, malt, and spice on the back end. I feel like a brewery could easily have messed up the lavender addition, but I guess it's AleSmith, so they don't.
M: Medium body and carbonation, very slight crispness.
O: Interesting interpretation, I like it. They nailed the lavender here as well as could be expected. It's not a home run combination with Lil' Devil, but drinkable and well crafted.
