On tap at O'Brien's Night of a Million Zillion Speedways. The full name on the menu reads: Islay Scotch Whiskey-soaked American Heavy Toast Oak Chip Speedway
Pours near black from the cask with a diminutive beige bubbly head. The nose is Scotch whiskey and lots of oak, with notes of chocolate and a little coffee. The taste exhibits even more oak than the aroma, with a slight whiskey edge. The oak is very drying on the palate. The beer is lightly sweet, chocolate falls somewhere between dark and milk, coffee is understated. The finish is earthy, with chocolate, whiskey, and oak, lots of oak.
Mouthfeel is creamy and quite dry from the oak. Carbonation is low.
Overall: A tasty version of Speedway that's heavy on the oak.
