Nice clear auburn appearance. Thin light brown head with decent retention. Lacing is spotty. Nice aroma of bourbon barrel, vanilla, oak, peat and thick malt. There's a nice oak/woodiness going on in this one. The alcohol is definitely noticeable. The malts are meaty and just a tad smoky. A littled roasted chocolate malt is noticed. Hops seem to add just a titch of bitterness (and when combined with the alcohol sting leaves a nice lingering dry aftertaste). Body is about medium and the carbonation seems about right. This is definitely a good Wee Heavy, but not Top Tier one IMVHO.
