I stopped at Bob's Keg and Cork while traveling in the area. It is in a touristy section of downtown Yakima with a lot of other cafe's bistros and the like.
A tiny little place. Four seats at the bar (all occupied by regulars) Five tables for four. The furnishing are eclectic and the carpet and tables are worn.
Quality is just OK. Guinness and a few regional micros. There were two cask conditioned selections.
Service was good. One bartender was very attentive to the customers through out.
Selection included more wine than beer. Six taps and two casks. A dozen bottles or so.
I did not try the food, but it looks like nachos, salad and pizza are the specialty.
Value was very reasonable. Under $4 a pint.
Notes: I'm not sure what the dish washing facilities are like but the mugs were sticky.

This is Cheers in the flesh!! Housed in a late 1800's Fire Station, Bob's is the perfect pub!
Limited room in fairly tight quarters brings everyone into the conversation. A recent comment by two out-of-towners (from Seattle) was that everyone who walked in said Hi to them.
Good pub fare, excellent beer menu and great service.
Beers on tap were Alaskan Barleywine, Elesian Dragonstooth Stout, Yakima Craft Brewery IPA & Amber Ale, Stone IPA, Guiness Stout, Mirror Pond cask-conditioned delivered from a beer engine and others I don't remember drinking.
Very intimate, very cool!

Bob's is a cozy little place, a small room with maybe a 6 stool bar, and maybe 6 tables. The high ceiling and windows help open it up, and it has an electic mix of artwork, some Native American warrior oils, a few euro looking farm scenes (including a huge mural above the bar of a barley field) and some fantasy style art. There is also a bunch of random breweriana, wine bottle and other nick nacks. They had maybe 8 NW brews on draft when I was there, a few interesting ones and a few more mainstream, and guiness (sigh, I suppose you need to cater to everyone). Their menu was pretty small, the main meal options were some sandwiches, personnel pizza's or salads. What I liked about the menu was that they had a large list of add on ingredients for the pizzas, blue corn nacho's and salads. I went with a pizza with marinara (or alfredo), with ham, pineapple, red onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños. It was fantastic. Flaky crust, really tasty cheese blend, and fresh veggies. I had two beers from near by Sunnyside brewery Snipes, their IPA and Barelywine, which were both quite good, served in large, handled mason jar type mugs. Bob made sure to make a friendly visit to my table to say hi. He was very nice and cheery, and I was happy to have gotten a chance to visit his bar. Next time I'm passing through Yakima, I'll be sure to stop in.

Bob's is a legend in Eastern Washington. All the breweries want to get a beer on tap here. Bob's has one of two cask engines in South-Central Washington (defunct Grant's had the other two). Typically has a Deshutes and Boundary Bay cask on. He has another 8-10 taps including a couple nitrogen. He never pours macro beers. I was in the other day and saw Arrogant Bastard, Sierra Pale Ale, Mendocino Red Tail, Mac N Jacks Porter, Guinness on the front bar. I couldn't see what was in the back bar but I'm sure they were equally impressive. Also has a good selection of import beers by the bottle including Beamish, Murphy's, Skullsplitter, Harp, Bass, etc. Bob is the stereotypical pub owner, he practically lives there and is always happy to see a new face.

Bob Hargreaves is a wonderfully friendly and engaging person. His small pub always seems to be packed. The walls are decorated with local wine and beer memorabelia, and the taps always pour from a great selection of micro and import beers. The coziness of the pub and the great interaction with barkeep and other locals is reminicent of old world pubs, and is a reminder why they're so popular.
