I used to live literally .25 miles away from this place and while I was there they had an ok selection of craft beer. Went back a couple of months ago and my oh my how things have changed! They now carry a HUGE selection, some stuff I have never seen in FL. The only down side to me is that they are often over-priced. For example, they had Evil Twin's Yin and Yang for a whopping $8/per 12 oz bottle! The Total Wine by my job had them for $3 a piece. Not cool.

Big C is right down the street from where I work, and I'm just bummed I didn't find it earlier. Unless someone told you about it, you'd never think to go into it to find craft beer. When you first enter, you're immediately hit with loud rap music and a ton of crap liquor. Navigate your way to the back though, and you enter a hidden world of beer awesomeness. They have a great selection of domestic and imported brew. Whether you're looking for the latest BA, DIPA, or Abbey ale, or just a cold 4pk of DFH, they have it all. They get limited quantities though, so you have to get there fast. As far as service is concerned, unless you see a guy with great side burns behind the counter, don't bother asking for recommendations. If he is there though, chat him up. Great dude. Super knowledgeable.

After reading these reviews I sort of knew what to expect but was still actually surprised when I came around the corner of the store and saw that import singles isle. ~25ft long and 4-5 rows high, packed full of single bottles, both small and 750l organized by country and style.
I went in looking for Belgians and Trappist brews on this trip and they had most all of them in stock.
They also have lots of cool gift boxes with beer and chalices, odd unusual brews you don't see anywhere else and a massive cooler full of cold 6 packs and 12 mix packs from the major craft brewers.
Of course they also have regular liquor and wine.
It nice knowing now that I don't have to drive all the way over to Knightly or Total Wine every time I want good imports. I can add one more place to the tiny list of beer store choices we have here in OrBlando

I visit Big C's everytime Im near. Its tucked away in a shopping center right of University Boulevard and Goldenrod. First of all, just before you get to the beer wall, there is a small display rack full of all different styles of premium beer glasses. Best news is they are all only $2.99. Now on to the beer, they have at least 300 diffent breweries stocked there. Everything from the Bruery, to Brewdog. Really too many to keep rambling on about. As for prices, they are great. Extremely reasonable. I would say THE only negative thing about this store is the clerks never seem to know much about beer. Who cares though. I know exactly the stuff Im looking for.

I recently found this place and was amazed. There are a few beers out there I've been looking for (rare Dogfish Heads, rare Unibroue, Cantillon, Fantome) in the Orlando region and I wasn't able to find any until I found this place.
There are two long rows(one shelf and one cooler) so it doesn't appear at first that there is an impressive selection but once you start looking at the bottles, you will be pleased...it doesn't matter who you are. anyone will find something to buy here. bring lots of money!

This is a great little diamond in the rough. Walking into the liquor store one would have no idea the treasures within. Their beer selection is extensive and has a great diversity of american and import. The prices are reasonable and for the most part on par with other stores.
I am equal distances away from both Big C Liquor and Total wine and I would say have to say it's a toss of the coin. Both have their strengths and weaknesses so it really is just what you feel like doing.
They also seem to have a good selection of wine and liquor. So if you want more than just good beer, this store has you covered.

First time goin to Big C last night.
First of all, you should know there is no sign indiciating it to be Big C Liquors. It only says 'Liquors' on the sign. It is right between Tijuana Flats (listen for the drunk college kids getting stupid on bad Mexican food) and Winn Dixie.
The kids who were workin there when I went in were actually pretty obnoxious. They were chattering away in the front, didn't greet me when I came in, didn't offer any assitance.
The beer selection, however, is nothing short of amazing. They have more singles than any store I've been in here in Orlando. The cooler is ridiculous too, full of a wide variety of micro brews and imports. Lots of big beers on the shelf at room temp. They also had Hopslam, some Terrapin limited release stuff, Allagash, T'Smijie, and lots lots more. I spent a measly $22 and got a decent six pack, three singles and two 22 oz bombers, one of them an Allagash Grand Cru.
If you know what you're looking at and what you're looking for, Big C rocks. If you need customer service to have a good experience, I wouldn't count on it.

Only been here once but was quite impressed. It's an unassuming place in a faceless strip mall, but the selection inside is where it shines. A nice selection of Belgians, which is always the first thing I'm looking for. IPAs through the roof as well. Not so many American micros but lots and lots of imports. One cool thing is that, if the beer is good enough, they post the RateBeer grade underneath it (sorry BA).
Service leaves something to be desired though, as the staff was not very helpful with my questions, and exuded a strange attitude of apathy toward myself and my girlfriend, who also had her own beer-queries. Perhaps they were having a bad day.
Worth a visit if you are in the Winter Park area.

This was the place I went to to find the rare or hard to find imported beers. Their Belgian selection is always great, and so are their American micros. I can't remember what it was, but I remember getting a 750ml from Allagash(?) that was oak-aged and limited edition and had a cinnamon, syrupy feel for $17. If only I had known about this site then, I'd have written a review. For those who live in Winter Park/Orlando and may have become accustomed to going to Total or ABC for imported beer, this place has stuff those places will never carry.

Ive been traveling a lot this year and using the site to find great beer while away from home, I joined today just to review this store. I was completely overwhelmed by the selection and had a hard time deciding what to get. They had a huge selection in the cooler and opposite had an outstanding selection of warm beer. The variety of Belgian beer was one of the best Ive ever seen.
As mentioned before its tucked away in a very unappealing strip mall and easy to find. I was fortunate to be staying in a hotel about 5 miles away, near the UCF campus. The quick little drive was well worth the time. The store was clean and the selection was neatly displayed and easy to view.
I highly recommend this store for anyone who appreciates good beer.
