From what I've heard, this dark lager was brewed with fifty pounds of Piloncillo sugar and seven pounds of Mexican chocolate. Right on. It pours a brackish midnight sienna topped by a finger of dirty khaki foam. The nose comprises brown (candi) sugar, light molasses, and a touch of greenery. The taste holds notes of mild brown sugar, mild greens, light toasted biscuit, very light molasses, and a touch of candied orange peel. The strong sweetness up front abates over time. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a pretty tasty lager, even if the chocolate is unfortunately rather shy. I'd definitely drink another.
