Bottle into Glass

A - Pours a large, bubbly head. Clear yellow-light amber color. Moderate-heavy lacing down glass

S - Lots of pine, hops, a little citrus, and a little malt

T - Sticky/resin, a ton of hops, and water (a lot of water). Kind of tastes like if you mixed a ridiculously hoppy DIPA 50/50 with straight water. I like overly hoppy IPA's but this is strange with all the water taste. Still very drinkable though, but i find myself wanting to drink it fast as opposed to slowly

M - Light bodied and watery

O - Looks and smells good, put the watery taste and mouthfeel is definitely not my thing

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a 14 oz "pint" glass. Pours a cloudy yellowsh straw with a small white head. Smells of flowery hops with slight piney tones. Tastes of earthy hops, water, and some grain, little bit strange. Beer is a little heavy on the carbonation, but still for its light body is very drinkable. Overall, a very good beer.

APPEARANCE: The Last Chance pours a bright, opaque orange. The head is small, but the bubbles are very small and well organized – very nice look. The head dissolves fairly quickly into a thin cap. The lacing is absolutely gorgeous, covering about 60% of the back of the glass.

SMELL: Pleasant aroma of citrus, spice and a little fresh cut grass. The citrus leans towards the orange end of the spectrum with a little grapefruit behind it. Would be 4.5 or higher if it were a little stronger.

TASTE: The grass from the nose comes through big time and is backed up by more green in the form of mint. A small wave of bitter grapefruit takes the middle of the sip before menthol crashes over it and takes charge for the finish.

MOUTHFEEL: The tiny bubbles from the head provide a nice tickle to the palate. The body is on the lighter side and it is a very dry beer, leaving the palate thirsty for that next sip.

OVERALL: The minty thing is a little weird at first. I have had plenty of IPAs with a hint of mint, but not this intense. That said, it is a nice combination with the grassy character. I would reach for this beer again.

A: Pours well into a .5 glass cylinder. Hazy, amber orange, modest head, with brief retention but great lacing. Thin head remains through the hour.

S: Aromas of hops citrus, malt, a bit of piss. Good stiff nose. Pissy smell subsides after a few minutes.

T: Tastes follows the smell, the overall citrusy hops, hop forward, then mildly balanced with biscuity malts. Nice bitter-sweet arc. Was good with tomatoes sauce and sausage. Good back bone of bitterness, pine, tingle, and fruit without being alcoholic. Refreshing. Gladly want to try again.

M: It feels light to medium-bodied, crisp on the palate, moderate carbonation. Refreshing, satisfying, lighter than most IPAs. Sessionable. Definitely would like another.

O: Solid IPA - citrusy, tingly, good example of the style, good introduction.
